The saga that started about 22 months ago continues to intrigue, a new announcement:

Protasco Berhad (“Protasco” / the “Company”) wishes to announce that it has today been served with a Writ of Summons by Kingdom Seekers Ventures Sdn Bhd (“Kingdom Seekers”) suing in a representative capacity for and on behalf of the Company and or for the benefit of the Company. Kingdom Seekers is suing Dato’ Sri Chong Ket Pen, Kenny Chong Ther Nen, Low Kian Seng, Edward Khoo Mong Wei, Lim Yew Ting and RS Maha Niaga Sdn Bhd. The Company is named as a Defendant by virtue of the representative claim. Kingdom Seekers is a company controlled by one of Protasco’s director, namely Mr Tey Por Yee and is a substantial shareholder of the Company. The Company had on 22nd September 2014 commenced a suit against inter alia Mr Tey Por Yee for breach of his fiduciary and statutory duties.

Kingdom Seekers’ claims against Dato’ Sri Chong Ket Pen, Kenny Chong Ther Nen, Low Kian Seng, Edward Khoo Mong Wei, Lim Yew Ting, RS Maha Niaga Sdn Bhd is for the return of a sum of RM10 million to the Company and general damages purportedly suffered by the Company.

In this regard, the Company has appointed a firm of solicitors to represent the Company and oppose the foregoing suit. The Company wish to state that the suit filed by Kingdom Seekers have no significant immediate adverse effect on the current financial position of Protasco.

Tey gave a press conference with more detailed information, for instance the following map of the money trail:

After almost two years, bystanders are getting more and more information,  which is always the case when two parties engage in a mud slinging contest and/or are threatening with court cases.

But there are still many questions that I posed almost two years ago that are unanswered as of now.

The most obvious one: who were the shareholders and directors of Anglo Slavic Petrogas Ltd, the seller?

We will have to wait how the company will respond to these allegations. Eventually it might be the work for the judges and authorities to find out the facts and the possible wrongdoings.

Right from press room. Without wasting time lingering on bad mouths on last few fan standing. Legal due diligence and investigation shows 100% Indonesian ownership for anglo slavic petrogas. The indonesia asset is technically verified and held to indonesia bank, 100% belongs to Indonesian!! Bang! Dead! Suicide! This is the hard evidence which put in the last nail on dato sri chong ket pen COFFIN trying to lie and talk to everyone including your good self. Truth is truth let the judge read hardcore evidence. Only the culprit and guilty keep bad mouth others rather than face his challenger face to face. Can't blame the media or listeners because of his seniority.

Ask any last piece of doubt from media friend and the PR company. You will feel disgusting. As a staff i am quitting. Dato sri chong is a good boss but not a good heart person. Good worker doesnt mean good in everything. Bad intention is too much. Sorry i cant take it anymore.

Ask dato sri chong why he rush for the oil deal, why his partners buy out his enemy shares so fast. Who needs who? Now all questions including those you post 2 years ago, all answered. Clear your mind, rethink. There you go!

From the media friend, the Indonesia government offer sell back and did not sue protasco for illegal termination was a blessing. But it was rejected by dato sri just to do what he wants to do. To win his own board room fight, at all staff cost. What kind of selfish boss is this? I believe its of any investors interest to recover as much rather than simply point finger. This is the worst anjing lari i have ever seen. Seen japanese coming, he speaks Japanese and turn the gun shooting inside. Shame to be part of this. Sorry bos, you are too much.

The chart is given to all media by Chong's scapegoat director. Chong should explain what was the money for?

Another miss use of protasco money for Chong cover up.

PETALING JAYA: Protasco Bhd non-executive director Tey Por Yee claims that the board is “protecting” managing director Datuk Seri Chong Ket Pen by refusing the latter to defend himself on the allegations of the RM10mil personal gain.

The resolution to suspend Chong until disciplinary action could be taken was also not allowed to be tabled, he alleged.

“The board of directors of Protasco is no longer independent. It is, in fact, using Protasco’s resources and money for Chong’s personal agenda to remove me.

“This EGM that they have called is deliberately scheduled ahead of ours and will be paid by Protasco. They are trying to prevent shareholders from knowing the truth,” Tey alleged in a statement yesterday.

The EGM that Tey has called and funded by himself, will be held at 10am on Nov 28.

Its purpose is to present the facts and evidence of Chong’s alleged wrongdoing directly to the shareholders and to ask for the removal of Chong.

However Protasco is holding an EGM on Nov 26 to remove Tey and another director. This EGM came about after it was proposed by two shareholders namely, UOBM Nominees (Tempatan) Sdn Bhd and Tan Heng Kui.

UOBM Nominees is the pledged securities account of Penmacorp Sdn Bhd, an investment holding company whose shareholders are Chong, his wife Datin Seri Hoo Chit Neo and their sons Chong Ther Nen, Chong Ther Zern, Chong Ther Shern and Chong Ther Vern.
