Astro is just so-so for trading (was poor last listing for investing). Is difficult to convince long term investors with their history. Current political environment doesn't help too (remember the alleged censor of certain foreign news services?).

Given AA present price movement, one can gain or loss tons of $$$...not everyday you have these scenarios.

The really-good Co don't have to continuously buy back its own shares just to keep its price at certain level (artificial?) moreover, EPF is also buying, further contributing to higher stock price which may not be in tandem with co's biz but rather just a game of supply/demand of its shares...

Fair comments by @isaacs & others have their points well-argued too. Trend-wise, my take is to let AA ride the turbulence and see what happen next. Biz-wise, AA is in volume game; they gain $$ as long as ppl step on their planes...Q? is, is it sustainable with increased fleet and new players joining the fun bigtime...
