Strange, if the management and the supporters are not fully grasp, why should they bought 9+% at 0.76 from PAG/CS ?

now the new rule when you attend register at AGM/EGM, they will print out your record in a paper mention your shares holdings, after that you can voting all resolutions n put in the ballot box, all are calculation in shares holdings not by how many persons.

It’s not over yet for Reach
REACH Energy Bhd may be a step closer to getting its maiden acquisition approved by shareholders, but it is still far from a done deal. This week, a shareholder in the form of Hong Kong-based fund PAG Holdings Ltd was bought out by another party in an RM90mil deal. In a nutshell, here’s the significance of this: Reach is a special-purpose acquisition company (SPAC) and needs more than 75% of its shareholders to vote in favour of its proposed qualifying acquisition (QA) of a Khazakstan oil and gas field. PAG was said to be a yield investor keen on voting it down, as SPACs have to return their cash to shareholders if they fail to get the deal voted through. PAG was seen as the single-largest yield investor and its 9.42% is now in the hands of a party, namely, MTD Capital Bhd, which is seen as a supporter of the management of Reach to get their QA approved. In this sense, Reach has reached a new height – other SPACs like Sona Petroleum Bhd and CLIQ Energy Bhd had not been able to buy out out yield-seeker investors who had surfaced as shareholders.
Still, there is no assurance as to how any shareholder will finally vote on the QA. There is a lot of money at stake. If shareholders decide to vote down the QA, they get paid the cash value in the company, which is around 76 sen (which incidentally is the price at which PAG was bought out). But there will be one sure indicator of how they will vote – if Reach’s share price is at 76 sen or more at the time of the shareholder’s meeting on Nov 4, then there is a high chance that the deal will be voted through. The converse is likely true.
