GXA is a blank cheque listed company with mkt cap of almost $400m. Assuming the deal of $1.7b, original Celularity valuation at the deal is probably abt $1.3b. Celularity was spun out from celegene in 2018, so celegene probably holds much larger shareholding (30 to 50%) than the rest of the 8 investors who pumped in $250m. I think genting bhd at most holding 10% of the enlarged post deal Celularity shareholdings. Celegene was a large cap pharma with full capability of developing their own pipeline of drugs. Sometimes they spin out or sell off a drug candidate or subsidiary is to share the high risk in drug development without further cost outlay which they could have very well afforded (being a $74b mkt cap company).

Short squeeze over? May still have some minor coverings along the way down.

Not so easy to climb up. Story theme no good now. Plenty of resistance above as many investors/traders are stuck at higher prices waiting to get out.

May be shorted down again after short covering over. The smarter shorties cover along the way at opportune time. The late shorts get squeezed.

Can complain to Bursa why did not publish daily shorted volume of this stock? Im sure there are plenty of undeclared shorted volume for this stock. This is unfair to public investors / traders.

May not rally much from here. The casino recovery theme is broken on short term basis. Interstate travel may be banned for a longer period of time this time until we see very low nationwide covid numbers. The Govt has already admitted that allowing interstate last month was a mistake. Genting's Q1 result is a goner. Price could be rangebound trading +/- 7.5% from rm4.0 level until eventual breakout several weeks later when the market anticipate interstate travel about to start again. This is my anticipation only.

Genting rebounded late afternoon because it got pulled up by KLCI. Banking stocks are in fashion globally for now and usually banks form a large part of index constituent %.

Rm4.00 buy queue 1.5m.... last line of defence before all hell breaks loose....

Fierce seller! KLCI didn't even drop much today. We have a very strong shortie here. Strange Bursa declared shorts for this stock was zero for past few days. No way this data is correct. Not even a single stock shorted for Genting? That means all the shorts are undeclared.

Will RM4.10 crack after lunch break? Huge buy queue slowly evaporating....

Tues afternoon I knew something not right thats why quickly cutloss with minor scratches. The seller was very cocky and fierce. He may have some insider info govt news on the upcoming covid measures.

The way to make $ from stock market is to win big when you are right but keep your losses small when you are wrong.

There is no bull side or bear side but the correct side of the market. If you are not joining the correct side, at least stand aside and don't get bulldozed. So I react to the price action first by exiting long position and standing aside. The true reason for the fierce selldown will reveal itself at a later date. To react after news will be too late as severe damage already done to a stock trader's pocket.

Yesterday's low become today's high. RM4.10 looks artificially supported for weaker shorts to cover first and also to lure in traders who think the bottom is already in. I suspect the real big shortie will go for the kill next week.

If govt really announce halt of interstate travel and other forms of covid restrictions, price may crash below rm4 with another wave of shortie attack. Usually such announcements will be made over the weekend. Im not optimistic of a strong rebound tmr if any.

Holding parent discount. Genting Singapore already having strong quarterly net profit. Genting Bhd still on severe quarterly losses. UK and USA operations are big drags.

All bets are off if interstate travelling is halted. Maybe thats the reason for the fierce selling today? If nightclubs/ktvs/massage still closed but casino open, not fair to other entertainment joints? Better hope no covid cases linked to casino gaming customers or else....

PUTRAJAYA: The Health Ministry is looking into reviewing the present strategy put in place to contain the Covid-19 pandemic following the rise in the number of cases in the country.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the number of new Covid-19 cases was expected to increase within a week or two after the new year.

"We need to review the strategies that we implemented since Oct 14. Our decision in allowing inter-district travel on Dec 7 resulted in the rise in cases.

Genting's selling is fierce. Rebounded just now back kena shot back down. Today's volume is huge.

Genting's short term uptrend line (started from 24/11/2020) is broken today so it is bearish for now. High chance price will eventually go lower and test rm4 support zone.

Genting is catching up with the drop in KLCI. Genting was very resilient during Monday's KLCI long red bar. Yesterday onwards Genting was doing some catching up in the KLCI downwave. If we use KLCI 24/11/2020 closing of 1578 as ballpark estimate, Genting closing price then was rm4.01. However, KLCI's downwave is predominantly caused by collapse of glove stocks.

Genting zheng kay run road liow. Handover baton to big shortie. Yesterday's low is todays high. Today's low could be tmr's high. Heng i cut with minor losses yesterday.

I hope im wrong but if this stock really kena big shortie attack (rotation to genting after successful shorting operation on glove stocks), may kena press down below rm4 support. When everyone is throwing, the shortie cover back.
