I bought as low as 62 sen and as high as 87 - I still believe this share is undervalued and I am tempted to buy more. Now the debt is reduced and dividends are being resumed I wouldn’t be surprised if the price ends the year at 1.60. THP is also undervalued, I bought this share around 12 years ago and received quite high dividends for a couple of years before the bonus issue. These cheap plantation stocks are becoming cash cows and are much safer than most banks, property companies and high tech shares.

With CPO set to rise next year, JTIASA, now soon to be debt free and paying dividends could easily hit 1.20 by years end. I noticed that JTIASA’s CPO production for October exceeded that of United Plantations … quite remarkable.

This company is finally being re rated, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if it closes up another 5 sen at Monday’s close.

Crude oil is now above $90, this should help underpin the price of Palm oil. Surprisingly, JT’s share price didn’t drop ex div - I believe the price could easily hit 90 sen.

The recent rise in the oil price to nearly $90 must be positive for Palm oil prices. I believe JTIASA is still way undervalued.

At the present time, I would far rather have my money in undervalued reasonably profitable plantation shares than grossly overvalued USA, European or U.K. bank shares.

Topped up with another 30,000 today ... the impressive reduction in debt should bode well for future dividends.

Give poor old Calvin a break ... if plantation shares had stayed high, no one would be moaning. I made a modest profit on Ta Ann and SOP, my fault, I could have made a lot more if I had sold at the peak. I put the money into JTIASA at 0.56.75. I also hold SWKPLANT, THP and Univanich (done well there) interestingly this company has a profitable subsiduary in the Philippines. I still believe that plantation shares have been unfairly targeted by the woke climate change ESG brigade ... pension funds and fund managers steer clear but in doing so harm the interests of their clients and pensioners.. More effort should be made promoting palm oil and fighting the corrupt polititions in the EU who seek to smear the palm oil industry. Over the last year, I have made a small profit and had some useful dividends, many of my friends here in England and USA, have lost in some cases 50% of their capital.
In the event of a severe world wide market correction PO shares may go down another 20% but as they are trading at such low PE’s and book value, they should do much better than most other shares. Another prop to palm oil is the oil price, due to lack of investment (ESG again) oil should trend higher next year. Oil companies should hold their value in 2023, so should plantations.

Could someone kindly advise me ... I held 45,000 FGV, my broker here in UK sent me notification of the takeover offer of RM1.30 on 18th Jan, I emailed back saying "take no action". I have just found out that the shares were sold in March. My broker had received notification from Malaysia
stating "The takeover offer reached the required acceptance level and was approved. The mandatory takeover took place and therefore you were credited with the proceeds (£10,194.86).
How could my broker possibly have been given this false information and do you think this has happened to other people ?

Impressive finish today and turnover is also creeping up. Just a thought, the estimated FFB production for 2021 is around 415,000 tonnes. FFB production in Feb/Mar this year is 21-22,000
tonnes, do you think that 2021 target is achievable ?

The huge recent increase in the price of MSM is not reflected in the pathetic RM1.30 offer price. Once the take over has failed and with the div coming and the high current CPO price I believe RM2 is achievable.

dollardollarbill - Thank you for that very informative piece. I held this share for many years now and never lost faith, only problem is low trading volume, otherwise this share could easily reach
RM 3.00. One question please, in 2020 div was 10c do you think they will pay 10c for 2021, or possibly more ? because Public Invest Research last month only forecast 5c for this year which was disappointing to read after such a good result.

Many thanks to Mabel and others for their information and advice ... I was thinking, what is the point of Felda extending the offer period to 16th Feb at the same price of RM1.30 ? Anyone who
was happy with that price has already sold by now, all the weaklings have been flushed out. The remaining holders are either content to keep the shares or want a higher price.

My London stockbrokers just sent me the take over offer, I told them to take no action ... I firmly believe the shares are worth at least RM1.60 - let's not be too hasty.

Considering palm oil is now over RM4,000 and that Goldman Sachs have forecast all commodities
apart from wheat will increase greatly in price in 2021, anyone willing to accept a measly RM1.30
must be mad. Palm oil will also get a boost when oil prices really take off when the vaccine is rolled out world wide.

Why are many people paying RM1.28 to make just 2 sen less trading costs, it's not worth the bother. This means they believe that by holding out a price of between RM1.45-1.65 is achievable. I think this is quite possible especially as one of the directors has said that a price of RM 1.59 is fair.

Public Bank's target of RM3.15 is encouraging, although they got one fact wrong, the dividend is now 10 cents for 2020, possibly 10-12 for 2021.

If trading volume could only increase to 400-500,000 per day SWKPlant could well go to well over 2. One of the few small cap planters not to have diluted their shares with pointless bonus and splits. Look what happened to TDM and THP and BPLANT SWKPlant only 280m shares issued.

Thanks to terence775 for the earnings explanation ... I agree the figures
are very impressive considering the situation. I have always had confidence in this company and believe it to be undervalued. One question I have about the dividend, could you kindly advise ? 0.3080 is taxable,1.2000 is non taxable and 0.0220 is tax exempt. Is the 1.2000
free of 10% dividend tax ? if it is, there has been a substantial increase in the dividend.

I have held SWKPlant for 4 years, but have never lost faith. I bought some more in November @1.60 and a few more about 2 weeks ago @ 1.96 - I note that PublicInvest increased their price target from 2.06 (20th Nov) to 2.80 on 17th Dec. As this share has seriously lagged behind other planters I believe 2.60 -80 is quite possible, especially if trading volume continues to increase.
I also think the dividend for 2020 could be as high as 8 cents. Hang in there - we are about to be rewarded !

Encouraging results … actually , I was expecting a 10 Sen dividend so 15 is a nice surprise. This share is still cheap considering a couple of years ago it went as high as 6.15 - I’ll use the div to buy more.
