For the coming investment, I am still thinking whether buy Gcb or JB foods and see which share can give me better ROI. Both share also can give me good return. Jb foods performance is indeed good. But normally Gcb's earning power is at least 1.5times than JB Foods.

It's not necessary bad. Normally cocoa grinder will keep cocoa bean or lock long term contract of cocoa bean supplier when the bean price still low. Gcb trader is good on predict the bean price. With these, in fact they can earn more. Now cocoa bean is higher than previous, but they are using the bean with lower price. Personally I predict 2018 1st quarter results must be very good against 2017 1st quarter results. Then 2018 2nd quarter results will be as good as 2017 2nd quarter results.

Ivory Coast is the world leading cocoa producing country. By setting up a company in Ivory, they can source better quality and cheaper price of cocoa bean, semi finished product like cocoa mass, cocoa cake or even finished product like cocoa butter. With this move, Gcb can bring down the operating cost and maximize the profit. Overall this is a good investment.

Personally I don't think Gcb output can increase 50% although Gcb this year brought over 3 plants. Gcb need time to do alignment, modification and expand the plant that he took over. For this year, I predict Gcb output can only increase 25%. Next year must be more. So 2018 s the time to see how high the price can hit!!

Gcb's one of the competitor which is Barry Callebaut also reported a good prospects financial year results. But off course Barry's business is more diversify than Gcb. Anyhow this can serve as indicator to Gcb 3rd quarter financial results!!

All the good factors still maintain like low bean price, good sales volume until up to date. So 3rd quarter results are important to tell share holder how strong and how good is the cocoa market in 2017. Look forward to get dividend when Gcb announce 3rd quarter results. Gcb announced acquiring 2 plants in USA today. This is the fastest way to expand its market share in US market. So Gcb total acquiring 3 plants this year include Koko Budi in Malaysia. This show that Gcb is in good financial position and good business.
