WTK’s palm oil segment is only about 10% of their revenue... for years the company had been saying will increase production/FFB soon... for few years already nothing has grown in the plantation sector . Even after spending RM80mil buying another plantation also output is the same . Lol...
Lumber is no better .. slumbering for years with no demand as Japan produces better quality plywood now
Avoid.

Last year they spent RM85mil precious cash buying plantation but until now, yet to see any increase in CPO harvest? The timber output also decreasing.. who wants to take over such company? I think this company lacks impetus.

Some thing is wrong with this company or rather the management of the company. Last year it purchased a plantation at RM85mil and with CPO prices going from RM2,000 to RM4,000, the plantation revenue this quarter is only RM25mil, an increase of only RM5mil from same quarter last year AND still lost RM4mil on such high CPO price! Ptui! Might as well put the RM85mil cash into FD. Was there conflict of interest in the transaction I wonder?

His annual report commentary is cringy as fxxk, comparing himself to Benjamin G, WB, Charlie M and Philip Fisher. I thought he surely would have bought some glove stocks but alas, he did nothing and wrote commentary in Warren Buffett annual letter style. His notion about cash being a call option with no strike price is shamelessly stolen from Warren Buffett like his own mantra. Oh boy...

One thing good about WTK is that throughout the years of losses, cash is not decreasing much at all. This means the losses are non-cash a.k.a depreciation/amortisation
With a bit of cost cutting and rationalisation, it is possible to return to profit even with reduced sales. But must give management some time.

No use lah, lots of high levy, cost sky high unlike few years ago, heydays are long gone, competition from Indonesia and plenty of home supplies in Japan, if bought from RM0.20 low, time to cash in. It won’t go up much from here.

WTK is not a plantation counter. CPO goes to 10,000 also impact is small on earnings.
