Past experience showed that market would unexpectedly move ahead and caught you by surprise.

To wait after 3 or 4 quarters would you not miss the lucrative dividend payouts by Supermx not to mention the high possibility of free distribution of the treasury shares.

This is why at any period of time there is always a pool of loyal shareholders as they do not to miss the goodies distributed by the company.

Totally agree that there are not many counters at Bursa that can match such a cash pile. PJ Seow a very good morning. Glove like any other commodities such as steel, micro chips, plastic products etc all faced stiff competition not only from China but other parts of the world.

Yes this businessman said that his company faced competition from China. It is true. But wait at the same time he said he will pump in RM1.3 Billion to finance the group's production capacity, automation besides research and developmen for the next 3 years.

In other words glove will remain a very profitable business otherwise what would he wants to invest additional billions of RM to expand the production capacity.

Hi thanks to both of you namely wbwanabe and PJ Seow. Wow if the final dividend of free treasury shares materializes then it will be big bonus to the shareholders for the current year 2021. I think the chances is very high and the loyal shareholders certainly deserve it.

We are also very optimistic that Supermax will continue to deliver promising financial performance for next year and the shareholders can happily look forward for another record bumper dividend payout.

It could be knee jerk reaction due to temporary closure of factories. The middle man take opportunity to reap higher profit but not sustainable when factories reopen. I don't think glove producers can benefit much from it since most of their sales are B2B.

If you just read the recents comments posted there is even 1 guy who persistently keep on protesting against the very lucrative Supermx dividends that will be paid out next week. This guy is so naive that he even equate that the dividend cannot equate the drop in the price of the share. Cannot even understand that movement in share price is a capital gain or loss but dividend paid is a income and a reward to all deserving shareholders. This is basic Accounting 101.
Perhaps this naive guy is also very envy that all shareholders will receive their dividends early next week.

Many people commented that the cash pile should only be used for productive purposes such as expanding production to bring more revenue. If funds are used to push up the share price speculators/punters will make take the opportunity to take quick profit which is of not benefit to the company. TG could be a good example. SBB is debatable. Leave it to the management of Supermx to decide. Cheers.
