One chartist has today pegged the target price at RM1.38...

Last week was a pretty good week for London Biscuits underpinned by higher volume and stronger price uptrend... Hope the encouraging signs and actions continue into this week and beyond...

Noober, the combined volume on Tuesday and Wednesday seemed to suggest that people were still buying... But this is purely my personal observation... You need to have holding power if you are keen and prepare to invest / hold for medium term...

London Biscuits is back in action this week...

Unfortunately, this week Wednesday - Thusday window which saw some healthy volume and price appreciation was just another one of the those Wednesday - Thursday windows that had taken place in the previous 3 weeks...

With the Labour Day & Wesak Day long weekend coming up next week, it is anybody's guess whether London Biscuits will deliver any positive returns...

In any case, the fundamentals remain intact hence it is therefore just a matter of being patient and timing...

Based on last few weeks trend, this stock usually becomes active on Wednesday - Thursday window...

Hope this is going to be the last window and from hereon it will move upwards to 80c level and beyond...

Khee San also moved in tandem today but by a higher positive margin...

Fundamentally, London Biscuits has a substantial stake of close to 29% in Khee San Bhd and the latter's share price has gone up by more than 10% last week. By virtue of this, London Biscuits' investment value has also gone up in tandem and this, combined with other possible corporate exercises, is supposed to be one of the rerating catalyst for London Biscuits' share price.

Noted that Khee San has also seen the emergence of a new substantial shareholder of close to 15% stake and the recently completed private placement was at RM1.00 vis-a-vis NTA of RM1.67 per share and current share price of around RM0.65.

Last Wednesday shot up, this Thursday also shot up in the morning... They are testing resistance levels before taking it up to the next level... Be patient, your investment will pay off...

Uptrend emerging...

It appears the uptrend will commence this week...

Richinvest, I tend to agree with you. Looking at the trend, 20c is not a major issue if the follow through momentum continues. After all there were no major adverse financial or geopolitical issues reported over the weekend.

EGM set in early December... At the very least there is now some light at the end of the tunnel... Trading pattern will look very different henceforth... Worthy of monitoring from hereon...

Persie, you may be right. It's at least 6 months to completion.

Siva, the acquisition of shares in Abric One Sdn Bhd etc. was just a "wash" but interestingly it sufficed to "push" the price up to 69c... The special dividend payment is still very far away... It is quite obvious that someone is "controlling" the price now, one can forget about looking at the charts and the fundamentals...

They have collected enough at 60c level... 70c looking good...

Siva, do you foresee high non-completion risk to the exercise given the recent spate of numerous oil & gas exercises that had gone sour?

A lot of people have taken a very simplistic view and are assuming that the exercise will be completed in due course hence holding on to the shares...

The above is purely my personal view at this juncture...

There has been some pretty material changes in the board last few days...

Harbinger of more exciting times for the company's business direction, financial performance and therefore share price...

At current price level, it certainly looks very appealing vis-a-vis the 30c special dividend proposed by the Board.

But we still have to deduct the debt and cash from the numbers you have worked out.

It may work out to less than 80c per share at the end of the day.

Siva, the RM146m price tag is on a "cash free, debt free" basis, hence the eventual price tag will be lower.

The RM146m was probably derived based on certain valuation methodologies, the "unknown items" are cash and debt of the group of companies which are subject of this transaction.

These two items have to be deducted from the RM146m price tag. Correct?

This is a very creative way of determining, or dictating rather the share price.

Siva, there are 3 scenarios that could possibly happen to the share price tomorrow:

1) Price goes up by 30c or part thereof; or
2) Price stays at current level; or
3) Price goes down, buy on rumours sell on facts.

At the end of the day, the "market forces" will "determine" the price movement from hereon... :)

Siva, looks like it will drop to 70c level as mild selling continues to persist...

The interesting thing is with the two months timeframe already over, the company has yet to make any announcement to Bursa whether they require more time to evaluate the expression of non-binding interest and the ensuing due diligence by the party that made the non-binding interest, at the very least, for good governance sake...
