Trade at own risk & just an opinion. If thats the case, buy in Iris will be a wiser choice. If you have follow Iris, ppl who got the PP @ 0.51 are selling off but price still maintain and stable. It is an accumulating process with strong support and once it is cleared off, it will be an uptrend.

A 6 years project for a sum of RM5.39mil is totally not a convincing news to push the price back up. They need bigger news/rumours. Monday when market open should be a very exciting show.

I would also suggest cut when you still have profit. Why be greedy, take high risk & cant sleep well during the weekends? No one would know what will happen when market opens on Monday. You can buy back anytime when you feel it is uptrend again. Dont have to hold onto where your profit might turn to losses. For those on paper loss, just hope it bounce back.

Btw, I am a long term investor. If this counter has a 2-3% uptrend everyday, what can I ask more? You dont suppose to expect a 10-20% gain everyday, do you?

Do some research yourself and you can easily find that they had bought a staggering 1,214ha in Johor and Kuala Lumpur for more than RM600 million. The gross development value of this landbank is estimated at RM30 billion, eclipsing that of some established listed entities'.

Anyway, after UMA it is still uptrend but in a more stable and slow manner as minus speculators. Would still definitely say it is a good counter to invest especially after today performance right after UMA.

SP SETIA Bhd's Tan Sri Liew Kee Sin will step down as president and chief executive officer, possibly a year short of his contract that expires in May 2015, or earlier.

Liew, who joined SP Setia at the age of 37, has been with the company for 17 years.

Speaking after a media briefing here yesterday, Liew indicated his intention to step down soon and not wait until 2015.

Rumour has it that Liew will leave the company around the Chinese New Year period next year. In May 1 2014, he would have served SP Setia for 18 years.

With the above, I would say 'invest' when the price is still affordable else you would missed the ship. Once the confirmed news is out, you can expect price to be heavily uptrend which will be very soon if Business Times is accurate on the 'around CNY'. Note that this article is published on 13/Dec/2013 means is this coming CNY 2014. Let's buckle up and make some profit.

UMA replied and I believe we can have some ideas of the strength of this counter from the 1st paragraph. They purposely mention TS Liew son and if it is not the elder Liew that steer this ship, I reckon a 22yr old can achieve this feat in such a short time. They also mentioned possible acquisition, major share holder and persons connected to them which I believe these are all key words.
Just checked their website and they have 3 new upcoming projects in Iskandar, Semenyih and Penang which I must say very fast track when acquisition of focal was only done last year and not forgetting their launched projects. Seems like everything was all planned before and kick start right after takeover and I remembered that I saw an article that their land bank is HUGE and comparable to most Malaysia developer taiko.
As for today's drop I would rather say it is absolutely normal. It can't be forever up, besides being issue UMA would cause a lot of speculators to drop this counter.
Do some research yourself and base on own judgement if this is a potential counter especially long term.
For me, I would still say it is a fair price as we had seen a strong support when it free fall.
Just my 2cents and happy investing.
