@calvintaneng, I totally agree with your point of view that this stock is overvalued based on value investing and it is obviously shown in the PE ratio. But with all due respect and no intention to be offensive, I have a different point of view in this stock. I always believe different investors/traders have different approach in trading.
In value investing perspective, this stock is overvalued. In growth investing perspective, this stock actually has a potential to grow driven by its smart devices segment, it is all shown in the revenue and the profit in this quarterly result.
In technical trading perspective, which is of my interest. I see momentum and uptrend in this stock. I believe no one can predict where the stock price will go, but we can only identify its momentum and its trend. What i am trying to imply is, different traders/investors has different point of view and we can't predict where the price will go. So, i3 fellows, always set a cut-loss point if you are doing trades.
If i am wrong about this stock's momentum and trend, I am sorry because I don't mean to predict the stock. In my trading bible, if i am right, i hold on to the trend. If i am wrong, i cut my losses short. If i am right about it, all i can say is that stock price movement is unpredictable. I can't predict stock movement. I only follow where the trend will lead me to.
PS: You have great idea about it in term of value investing and I love reading your blog.
