@sheldon, realistically speaking, to be honest, expecting an exceed of 100m (means 37cents of EPS) is abit of over optimistic for me... at least from my data generally it is not that impressive yet to make a net profit of >100mil... again i do really wish that i'm wrong and you were right though...

petron corp only posted P1bil net income only... therefore dont expect any outstanding result for q3 2019...

well if that's the case, i would guess B... eps between 16 to 19 cents... and again i do sincerely hope that i am wrong on this...

Apparently it seems like petronm cashflow / receivable got affected (perhaps due to the petrol subsidize) hence the revolving loan of 240mil in...

there is a new loan/borrowings 240,000mil???

market sentiment is just too bad lately.... trade war + political matter making things from bad to worst especially in malaysia...

Hi Simon, what you mentioned will only reflect on coming 2nd quarter. If you are the shareholder of petronm, I suggest you to enquire them at the coming AGM regarding the effect of oil price cap at RM2.20 and also the impact of fuel subsidize to the company cashflow. Instead of speculate and listen to ppl here who do not have the real and first hand information.

@Halite, eps 120 might not be realistic due to the scheduled plant major maintenance... one can refer to fy2015 (4qtr) as the reference

sentimental still quite bad now... what the price showing now doesn't reflect anything yet (of coz can close green at least something positive)... when price up, don't happy too early first... when price down, don't be too sad either... no matter how, stay positive and remember to back to basic always (company fundamental)... personally my journey on petronm is still a long way to go... don't overly focus on the share price fluctuation... life still have many other things to do beside stock market... chill out....

dear seng gor, regards to the expansion plan, in my humble opinion, I'm pretty sure that they can come out with a good plan to execute it... well... after all, they are holding 73% share in this company, bet they would cautiously evaluate all the possible plans before decide things... well if they made the wrong call... who would be suffer most u think? if it would to worry, they should be more worried and concerned than us... they said many times already that petron corp (mother company) see Malaysia market is a good growth prospect to boost their earning for their Philippines company... petron has a very good background experience especially in this industry... they know more about the details than anyone of us... they know what they are doing, it shown, no need to me explain more... petronm is part of the refinery biz, in this industry the volatility is high fluctuation, this is the major concern for all the shareholders whether is small or big shareholders, hence the management making (still on-going such effort) their effort to "stabilize" their earning to make it more in a consistent way yet improving if possible (or "allowed")... they are trying their best on this... some ppl need to understand this effort as it is not easy to do this to maintain the earning consistently... unavoidable, some ppl do not appreciate the effort of the management for doing this... personally I think this is something to be commendable for the management...

this is just my 2 cents opinion only... cheers everyone

you sound like a trader more like a investor to me. If talk about in the sense of investing, if based on your scenario, if me, after used up my cash, I would use whatever financing way to buy more petronm in such price, I see this as rare opportunity to grab it... if u tell me this company is doing bad in terms of its fundamental thus its share price drop I can understand... but now the fact is, this company achieve good result, eps rm1.50 with CONSISTENT result each quarter, ZERO DEBT, NET CASH and STRONG CASHFLOW company, acceptable dividend payout... shouldn't it be to add more if reached such scenario u said?

sometimes I don't understand some ppl thinking... perhaps this is why some ppl earning big and some ppl don't....

And we hav this seng gor keep shouting in that article that the article writer giving false info that mislead ppl

Suddenly i recall back bout an article saying bout hrc eps 1.3 n petronm 0.28 cents due to 1 complex and another 1 simple refinery... lol

eps like HY? if yes then u going to be disappointed...

any day is possible now to release 4q2017 report... maybe today... u nvr know...

I believe here have a lot of smart ppl or investors here... they know what I'm talking about

don't let your emotion (due to recently correction) overcome your rationale guys... think straight and clear... and make the right decision for yourself

personally currently I see this few days correction as a very good opportunities to collect more or top up.... come on... it is not like asking you to collect a share of a bad fundamental company also... lol...
