imho, there will continually be shortage of gloves worldwide bcos covid19 could not be eliminated even though vaccines are available. vaccines is not 100 percent full proof and many need to be vaccinated for herd immunity. Can this be done for whole world population? further virus continues to mutate as they are biological agent to adapt and survive. Imho...health care products & PPE including gloves are neutral. PPEs are the first line of defence & save lives. In the new norm & with Covid19 still rampant, many hospital & health care institutions & other premises use PPE & gloves as tools to contain & prevent infections. IMHO normally vaccine take very long time to be developed bcos scientists are dealing with living thing (virus) in which its behaviour is unpredictable & possibility of mutation... no short cut to prove efficacy & safety. It may take years.. it cannot be rushed bcos vaccine is going to be injected into human body... vaccine must be zero defect!.. Once injected, human subjects in large population must respond uniformly to produce antibody & stay there for many months to provide protection... Imho, vaccine is inoculated to healthy people for them to produce antibody or defence system against particular disease. Not sure if it is any good for people who had been infected. It must have high safety level & acceptable efficacy. That y it takes a long time to develop vaccines. If Covid19 vaccine can be develop within short period of time must fantastic. Until then we still need PPE including glove for while then....
