Talk of the town is that Reach will not give up at all and will fight it out to get QA through. Their MD is the best bet and check his profile -- through and through an E & P experienced professional with vast experience and impeccable record. If we can't trust a professional like him, who can we?

Warrant holders sure are hoping for the deal to get through, doesn't make sense for some warrant holders to lament about the doom and gloom story.

We should give this QA a chance. Coupled with anticipated recovery of oil price by year end and future years, the reward can potentially be multiple times that of the redemption value. Look at the longer term potential, we have a lot to gain by staying with Reach :)

ruslimz, still keeping my warrants from IPO and topped up some around 3 sen last month :)

mmmm....if going for short term yield, I think LTH wouldn't have entered the game so late and consistently bought almost 40 mln shares between 68.5 to 69.5 over a couple of months when they could have sapu them at 60 to 65 sen range end last year to early this year. Even our alledged yield seeker CS stopped chasing at current price. It appears like LTH may be positioning themselves to own an oil and gas operator if QA passes EGM.

Already bet my entire cilli farm on this! If I have more money I will put in Reach. This is the last chance we investors have to get a truly good oil and gas company (Exploration & Production or E&P Company) into Bursa Malaysia for good and to attract other international E&P companies to list in Bursa Malaysia.

Reach appears to be a promising and reliable company with highly competent management and their QA candidate is very attractive from what I personally see. If we destroy Reach with only short term yield in mind, we also destroy having a robust Bursa with E&P stocks in the future to give all of us much value. Go to London , New York, Tokyo or even Singapore to see how E&P stocks are highly valued. E&P stocks are very differently valued from the normal kacang putih stocks we all are used to in Malaysia. Let us open our minds to global trends. From the way I see things, oil prices do go up and down and that is a well known fact and don't ever think the growing world population would cease to rely on fossil fuels. The world will continue to depend on oil for a long time to come.

No offense here, but you know, I think better for those seeking short term yield to sell off Reach shares and invest in other speculative kacang putih stocks that are plenty here in KLSE lah. Leave Reach for real E&P investors who appreciate the true value and want to take the opportunity to give it a go. After all, this could very well be the final oil and gas SPAC in Bursa's history!

If Reach goes into liquidation after deadline of Aug 2017, the money will be paid out probably in 2018 (surely takes quite some time for settlement) which would erode the yield and one would be lucky to get 3-4% yield based on time value of money. So I don't see any real yield here for short term yield investors. My humble piece for now.

Oil price back up above 50, ringgit also getting stronger now below 4. Looking sunnier by the day

Chill out, the past few days saw global markets reeling from effects of Brexit. Last night Brent showed signs of recovery, turning up to 48.77. Ringgit as well to 4.0565 against USD. Despite this market tumult, LTH seen to continue accumulating shares. Let's be patient and see how things develop. Am hopeful things can work out well here.

Had a great holiday in Bangkok, and guess what? Bumped into two expats there who claimed to be some sort of acid job expert and the other a specialist in something to do with sampling, core or something like that. Both say they are with oil service providers, one from Halliburton and the other I cant remember but think sounds like Baker Huge or something like that (too noisy at the bar, lol) and have done lots of testing and production increase for clients in Europe, middle east and surprise, suprise surprise also in Kazakhstan! So I showed them the QA document from bursa announcement (hey, internet very cheap and fast in Bangkok, paid something like THB 50 for one week internet True line. That is like rm 6). They read the whole document and they told me from their experience, it is very cheap to drill there, also they say depends on rocks there, mostly easy to find oil everywhere, can get easily 200 for poor targets to 1500 barrels per day from one well if drill into sweet spots. They say average success for acid job can give very good results and cheap and easy to do (they keep saying acid job so I asked what on earth is that! Sounds more like drug cartel I told them, hahaha. I hear something like pump acid into the well at high pressure to break the tight reservoir to create cracks and let oil flow easily out from underground rock to the well). One of them, Bruce I think, claim he has done more than 100 acid jobs in Kazakhstan, can get from zero to 200 to 400 most of the time, for low performing wells maybe around 200, can get even up to 1000 barrels per well). They say almost all oil companies there do this because on land cheap to do and can get more oil easily. Some more, they say from their experience the reservoirs are very likely carbonate ones, so even better. Dissolve easily using acid and improve flow rates. They also say they might consider approaching Reach to get some biz! lol Anyway, just sharing my interesting chit chat with unexpected friends there, of course there were more exciting ones but I wont broadcast my adventures here :p Have a nice weekend.

The latest June 7th EIA Short Term Energy Outlook also points to higher crude prices by September. "The market expects WTI prices could range from $36/b to $69/b (at the 95% confidence interval) in September 2016" which also means Brent is expected to be trading in that range (Brent usually slightly higher than WTI).
