It is about FFU needs to be disclosed or not.
Court deemed it to be material so need to be disclosed.

There is another case where SC is challenging the accounting disclosure made by SD's management on the accounting fraud.

at this current price, scib won't fall much anymore. 20 cents is a very low price. my suspicion is the management is delaying the AR to get more contracts once open next month might have a mini pancutan upwards. unlike SD where there formal fraud charges are being brought, SCIB is not a fraud and it is not falling into PN17. Anyone can think whatever they want but it is a fact that the auditor's qualified opinion is not too severe as those contracts are already terminated by SCIB. so long as SCIB can find more contracts to cover back the terminated one, this company is good to go.

How to proof the fraud if the special independent review finding is incomplete? The SC, and E&Y investigator should take the flight to UAE and Oman to take the evidence instead of stating incomplete !

PW always tell you this completed and that completed. But actually not is completed except in her imagination.
Let me dispute the so call facts of her article.
SC did not do take 1.5 months to finalise charge. Investigation by SC commenced in May 2020.
EY was not able to complete investigation as SD has not been cooperative. SD was Not cooperating as PW claimed.
Indeed EY has to go to SC for documentation.
SC would have done their due diligence and have enough proof before making their charges. Do you think SC is like SD making charges here and there.
PW claimed the media caused SD downfall. Did it?
SD refusal to disclosure SIR and AR and not pay coupon caused it. SDS did not clarify any point but instead just sued everyone. The media reported facts and not speculation.

SD is lost making. Who want to take over and be white knight. Especially with the mountain of debts. Who in the business want to run a company with such reputation.
Sorry to say this, all investment is lost.

After all the fibs by promoters, it really take a delusional person to continue believing there will be a turnaround.

I also disagree with your post.

I try to recall the chronological of event happen.
1) KPMG red flag direct to independent director.
2) KPMG try to sack KPMG but independent director disagreed.
3) Serba sue KPMG, then independent director resign to protest.
4) Serba appoint EY consultant s/b base on condition, To me it is very likely this EY is recommended by Bursa.
5) So what is suspicious here some one must ensure this red flag tally. But not signed and is still incomplete audit.
Why got red flag problem need to go direct to independent director? This is not normal as they are Serba auditor for so many years. Highly suspicious of things happening under the curtain of accounting issue.
What were those independent directors up to?

Just sharing. This is food for thought.

Let me share how audit is done.
If private company auditors rely on directors' statement all is correct and true.
Sometimes there are audit concerns, auditors will advise company to settle this issue so as to not arise again in next audit.
So in SD's case once listed, auditors need to report directly to SC/Bursa on suspicious transactions.

To the life of me, I am not sure how to audit non existence debtors, wip and stocks.
But then you are to one book expert. who am I to question to you.

I am not good at auditing. But I know if SD cannot pay coupon and get down graded to default status, then the end is near. SD will not be able to get financing unless government guaranteed.

There is auditing standards which EY and KPMG will deploy and both have come to the same conclusion.
Also discrepancies on assets and liabilities will differ slightly with different method of ascertainment.
But this is not about methods used, IT IS ABOUT AUTHENCITY OF THE ASSETS AND LIABILITIES. Whether they actually exist.
To answer your question on why big discrepancies between EY and KMPG figures is because that SD did not cooperate with EY.
SO EY was unable to verify everything. In fact EY has to go to SC to verify some documents as SD did not want to give.

To address the lack of understanding of the SIR or an external audit (and its requirements), might I suggest a way to get everyone up to speed on the correct methodology.

I would recommend the ICAEW Auditing and Assurance Book. It is a highly informative book with practical experience on how to deal with audits.

More importantly, rather than drown everyone with technical information, this book explains and shows how auditing is done in specific areas.

So, for Serba Dinamik's case, areas of audit discrepancies were on Receivables/Payables, Assets and Stocks.

Its no nonsense explanations as to why these methods are employed will enlighten even the ignorant.

It would be very useful for those who have embarked on their own investigation/audit career or those wishing to pursue greater investing evaluation skills.

As they say, never turn a blind eye to new ideas/concepts/skills and never close the mind.

Learning never stops.

Good luck and all the best.

We respect promoters who based their justifications on facts.
Not just blabber their mouth off.

SD is facing death by a 1000 cuts as more and more facts are surfacing.
Even if SD can muster up coupon soon (after all kaa Boom have been selling out in SD and related companies), the final cut will be in May 2022 on the repayment of USD222 mil.
