MAY 2021 PERTAINING TO AGREEMENT WITH TWO CONTRACT MANUFACTURERS IN CHINA FOR PRODUCTION OF SPUTNIK V VACCINES (“AGREEMENTS”)
We refer to the announcement made by the Company dated 19 May 2021 (“Announcement”) and the query by Bursa Securities dated 20 May 2021 (IQL-20052021-00001) in relation to the AGREEMENTS (“Bursa Query”). Unless otherwise stated, the terms used throughout this announcement shall have the same meanings as defined in the Announcement.
We wish to announce the following additional information as required by Bursa Securities pursuant to the Bursa Query:-
1) The date of commencement of each Agreement.
The commencement date is 19 May 2021
2) Whether the Agreements are subject to renewal, and if yes, the details of such renewal.
The agreements are not subject to renewal
3) The value of the 312 million to 960 million doses of Sputnik V vaccines to be purchased by the Russian Direct Investment Fund.
The value is yet to be determined
4) The name of the contract manufacturers.
The name of the contract manufacturers cannot be disclosed as it is strictly business and political confidential
5) The total capital and investment outlay required to be committed by UCrest Berhad (“UCrest”) in connection with the Agreements, the source(s) of funding and the breakdown thereof.
There is no capital and investment outlay required
6) The relevant regulatory approvals, permits and/or licenses required to be obtained by UCrest in connection with the Agreements. To also state whether UCrest has secured any of these regulatory approvals, permits and/or licences, and the relevant dates of application and approval.
There is no regulatory, permit or license required from Malaysia authorities for UCrest to perform its responsibilities
