Asian stocks tracked their U.S. peers lower on Thursday following a less dovish than expected tone from the Federal Reserve.
As widely expected, the Federal Reserve on Wednesday opted to leave its $85-billion-a-month bond-purchasing program intact at its October policy meeting. But the tone of the Fed's statement was less dovish than expected.
The market is being supported by the Fed but is also going up while future earnings may prove to be too weak to ultimately support it, McMillan said. He said the market has been setting up for a sell off.
"I think it's overvalued. We're overdue for a significant one," he said. "That said, I don't think that's necessarily going to happen."
Careful now folks! With not so positive news from the FED & probably poor earnings from AA is just like pouring fuel to fire on the share price.

Folks, the Delhi High Court Wednesday asked the union government to not to take a decision on the AirAsia deal till Dec 11, the next date of hearing on a plea filed by BJP leader Subramanian Swamy.
Remember folks, as its not helping matters that the airline’s costs and projections are already out of whack. It is paying salaries to its 200-odd employees every month, while the rupee charts its own course. A senior AirAsia India employee told BW, on condition of anonymity, that calculations have gone awry — but not enough to pose a real problem as they have budgeted for some delays in clearances.
So how now?

"I don't think AA will cancel the orders they have placed now, unless the results are really bad. Qantas fell into losses and I don't see this happening to AA," TA Securities analyst added.
Earlier last month, Australia's struggling flagship carrier Qantas Airways cancelled orders for 35 Boeing Dreamliner jets to cut costs after posting a full-year net loss for the first time in 17 years.

What Happened? Folks, AA upside will be capped by the poor yield environment.
MAS released very strong 3Q operating statistics recently, with international passenger load factors (PLF) rising 10.7% pts to a record 85.3% and domestic PLF advancing 8.3% pts to 81.7%, also an all-time high. International RPK demand rose a staggering 36.2% yoy while domestic RPK jumped an unbelievable 44.6% yoy in 3Q13. These numbers were the direct result of a deliberate decision by the current MAS management team to expand its capacity by deploying its planes more hours daily, and cut its ticket pricing in order to defend its market share against lower-cost competitors such as AA and Malindo.
So how, folks? Will the rally continue? Yes of course but sadly to the south!! Hahahahahahahah!!

Dear investors, are you ready to hold AA shares longer?
The government unveiled several initiatives in Budget 2014 last Friday that will have a profound impact on the aviation sector. The proposed 6% GST effective 1 April 2015 is clearly negative for airlines, with airfares for domestic flights and PSCs for both domestic and foreign flights subject to GST. Because of heavy competition, the airlines may have limited ability to pass on the GST and will have to absorb most of it themselves.
Remember folks, the 3QE13 will be announced soon. Do you think the 3QE13 will be good? Careful now!

Folks, is AA ready for GST?
The planned 6% GST effective in April 2015 is negative for airlines as most domestic flights will be taxed. As the competitive environment is now intense, the airlines may not be able to fully raise their ticket prices and have to absorb the GST, hurting profitability.

Folks, according to latest available information, AA India has 200 employees — pilots, engineers and ground staff. In an interview with Business Standard earlier this year, chief executive officer Mittu Chandilya had said the airline would start operations with 80-100 employees per aircraft, to be brought down to 60-65 in a year.
The DGCA grants the AOP after assessing the preparedness of a start-up airline to launch flights by examining issues such as availability of aircraft, personnel to operate flights as well as those on the ground, aircraft parking space at airports and engineering facilities. After receiving the AOP, it would have to apply to airport operators and DGCA for approval of its routes and network before officially launching the airline.
Considering the time taken in the procedures involved, AA India might start operation only early next year. Folks, could it be the court case brought up by Swammy causing the AA India to play safe????????? Hmmmmm...!!!!!

The official said the procedure for award of AOP was being conducted in accordance with CAP3100, involving a checklist of 36 items. “DGCA has to scrutinise the airworthiness of the aircraft and the preparedness of crew to commence operations. Unless the recruitments are completed, we cannot go ahead with all the checks,” added the official.

Folks, even as the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is prepared to issue an air operator’s permit (AOP) to AA India, procedural delays on the part of the airline in completing recruitment and import of aircraft to its headquarters in India might hold up the process.
A top government source told Business Standard: “The ministry of civil aviation has already issued a no-objection certificate (NOC) to the airline. If all documents provided by the airline meet the regulatory process, the DGCA should be able to issue the AOP by early November. The airline has, however, not imported aircraft or completed recruitment.”

Malaysian Airline System Bhd (MAS) and AirAsia Bhd have requested to make oral representations to the Malaysia Competition Commission (MyCC) to rebut the RM10 million fine imposed on both carriers, as a result of the controversial share swap deal between the two major commercial aviation competitors in 2011.
MyCC CEO Shila Dorai Raj said both parties have submitted their written reply to rebutt the preliminary allegation and fine, and have also requested for My- CC’s appointment to hear their cases, in person.
“We have set the dates but have yet to engage with the airlines. So, it will be improper to communicate with them via mass media.
“With the oral presentations to be done soon, MyCC’s final verdict can be finalised by end of this year,” she told reporters at MyCC’s Research Grant handing over ceremony yesterday.
“The Competition Appeal Tribunal is an independent group, without any influence of MyCC. This is how fair the system is to the alleged companies,” she said.

Folks, AA Japan has ended its services due to poor business performance, just over one year after its launch. Airline employees watched the last flight depart from Narita Airport on Saturday.
AA Japan was a joint venture between ANA Holdings and AA. In August 2012, the airline began using Narita Airport as a hub. Flights linked Tokyo with Japanese cities such as Sapporo and Fukuoka, and with overseas destinations including Seoul.
However, the airline failed to attract enough passengers, and the 2 companies decided to terminate their joint venture in June.
Japan's ANA Holdings now owns the budget airline. It plans to re-launch services on December 20th under the new name of Vanilla Air.
The new carrier will mainly offer flights from Narita to holiday resorts such as Okinawa, Guam and Hawaii.
There you go, folks!! Heheheheheheheheh!!

Folks, the airline is undecided about launch dates, though all indications are for a December-January launch. Pilots and cabin crew have already been sent for training to AirAsia’s headquarters in Malaysia, and around two dozen employees have been sitting in a cramped space within the Chennai airport planning the eventual launch and giving the final touches to the fledgling operation.
The team is waiting patiently for security clearance from the home ministry — a lengthy process. It’s not helping matters that the airline’s costs and projections are already out of whack. It is paying salaries to its 200-odd employees every month, while the rupee charts its own course. A senior AA India employee told BW, on condition of anonymity, that calculations have gone awry — but not enough to pose a real problem as they have budgeted for some delays in clearances.
So how now? Hahahahahahahah!!

AA India is a three-member JV in which AA holds 49% stake, Tata Sons hold 30% and Arun Bhatia holds the remaining 21% stake.
Of the 5 Airbus A320s received by AA Japan, one has been sent to AA Indonesia. Of the remaining 4 new Airbus A320s, two will make their way to AA India, probably MSN 5547 and MSN 5657, the ones with the Sharklets, a necessity for operations in a country with very high fuel prices. One of these Airbus A320s is expected in India in late October 2013 for proving flights
On starting operations, Tony said, “I would anticipate maybe April or May next year (2014) but I don’t really know”. Going by AA Japan’s timelines, AA India may start operations no later than July 2014. Will AA India JV be any different from AA Japan JV, folks? Hmmmmm only time will tell!!

Folks, AA India to receive AA Japan’s aircraft; First aircraft expected in a few days, in India, for proving flights; Air Operator Certificate to be awarded soon; AA Japan: The cause for its failure and why AA India may not follow the same downpath.
11 months after starting operations, AA called off the joint venture, and ANA acquired AA’s entire stake in AA Japan for 2.45 billion yen.
AA Japan possibly suffered from a de-focused Tony, who had too much in his hand, in the light of massive A320 orders and the launch of AA Philippines, which commenced operations in March 2012.
While one of the failures for AA Japan was the high fuel prices, does it mean that AA India will walk down the failed joint-venture’s path?
Time will tell, folks!!

Asked on when AirAsia India would start operations, Fernandes said, "I would anticipate maybe April or May next year but I don't really know. I know when we go in, it would be great and change Indian aviation forever."
An aviation analyst shared his views with The Malaysian Reserve, that AirAsia India is likely to miss this year’s deadline and if the airline is ever to kick-off, it would be only next year.
“What would hit them is if they have actually taken aircraft and are already incurring rental and parking charges,” the analyst said, on condition of anonymity.
With the launch almost a certainty to be missed, only time and Indian politics will tell when AirAsia India will eventually take to the skies.

Folks, as the continued rise in U.S. stocks to record highs has led to some speculation about the formation of a market bubble, investors are not appreciating the full risk of another 1999-style bubble.
This week the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average both surged to record highs of 1,775.22 and 15,721 respectively. The two global benchmarks closed slightly lower on Wednesday, however, following slightly less dovish than expected comments from the Federal Reserve.
The healthy performance seen this year has been purely driven by the Fed's expansive quantitative easing (QE) program, rather than valuations, a sure sign of the potential for a correction. So folks, will the rally continue?
