According to Uwe Parpart, head of research at Reorient Financial Markets, the recent recovery is a "very temporary pause" in the de-rating of emerging market assets.
"Keep in mind that in reality, no liquidity has actually been withdrawn, it's just been just talked about," said Parpart.
"After the FOMC meeting, when tapering actually starts happening and extends over a period, between now and next July, under those circumstances there's no question emerging markets will come under pressure," he said.
So folks, how will your stocks fair during that actual tapering period? Ringgit dip while interest rate up!

While the market is likely to see near-term relief once the much-discussed tapering actually begins, that calm may soon evaporate into further rounds of second-guessing economic data and their impact on additional tapering moves by the central bank.

How stocks may react to the Federal Reserve decision?
2. Pop then drop if taper delayed? If the central back holds off on tapering, some strategists see stocks rallying for a few hours, then selling off since such a decision would indicate the economy can’t yet handle a reduction in stimulus measures.
“There might be a short-lived pop, but I believe once the market digests it, (stocks) would then sell off,” said Doug Coté, chief market strategist at ING U.S. Investment Management.

A report in a Japanese newspaper that ex-U.S. Treasury Secretary Larry Summers will be named as Ben Bernanke's replacement as chairman of the U.S. Federal Reserve sent the dollar up Friday morning.

1. Philippines AirAsia is temporarily suspending several local and international flights as it diverts resources to unit Zest Airways, after a surprise multi-day suspension of Zest in August resulted in the latter taking a “significant” hit, both in terms of finances and reputation, a top official said.
2. The plans are part of broader efforts by the company, the domestic unit of Malaysia’s AirAsia Bhd, to “rationalise” its routes, meaning cutting back or halting flights with “low” passenger loads, Hontiveros said.
3. But these efforts have been complicated by the financial impact on Zest following the airline’s suspension by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines on the evening of August 16 until August 19.
4. The suspension caused at least 300 million pesos (US$6.8 million) in expenses and foregone revenues during the four-day period, in addition to ###penalties slapped by authorities in China, a source with knowledge of the matter said previously.
5. ###The airline’s reputation also took a hit, as thousands of passengers were stranded and had to be refunded or rebooked. Passenger volume has dipped since the incident, Hontiveros said.

Perfect Storm
So our current situation sees fundamental and technical factors coming together to create The Perfect Storm.
If everything goes well, that is, Syria hands over its weapons, the Fed does "taper light" and Congress and the White House can come to a quick conclusion on the US debt ceiling debate, it will be a solid green light for the stock market.
On the other end of the spectrum, military action in Syria, an adverse reaction to withdrawal of easy money by the Fed or a standoff between the House and the White House over the debt ceiling lead to potentially rough waters and big waves ahead for global financial markets.
Anywhere in between generates large primary and secondary swells on an already turbulent sea.
Within the next two to four weeks, the contours and impact of the perfect storm will become more defined and will likely set the stage for a significant market move in one direction or other.
Will you be ready? IMF is! So am I! Heheheheheheh!!

Perfect Storm
Finally, another round in the US debt-ceiling battle is set to start with the US government potentially running out of money sometime between mid October and mid December when its extraordinary funding measures reach their limits.
The last debt ceiling battle occurred in the summer of 2011, and from late July to September, the markets shed more than 20% as Congress and the White House wrangled over a settlement.
With the US House seemingly intent on tying a lift in the debt ceiling to limits on Obamacare, this round of debate could be even more rancorous.
Invest a few moments in reading these comments & think. You will be rewarded. Have you, folks? Hahahahahaha!!
