The Group posted a loss before tax of RM152.26 million for the current financial quarter as compared to loss before tax of RM31.67 million recorded in the previous corresponding quarter. The significant decrease is mainly due to fair value loss of an associate.

The Group posted a pre-tax profit of RM 61.4 million compared to the pre-tax profit of RM 3.8 million for the preceding quarter.
This make futures profit estimations extremely difficult.

UOBKH wishes to announce that the Board had on 5 December 2023 resolved to fix the issue price for the Private Placement at RM0.56 per Placement Unit.

General Packaging division
Revenue of General Packaging division in Q3, 2023 was RM713.3 million, an increase of
RM42.2 million from immediate preceding quarter mainly due to increase sales volume in all segments. However, profit before tax of the division decreased by RM25.5 million to loss before tax of RM0.4 million in Q3, 2023 mainly due to higher pre-operating expenses incurred for the set up of a new aluminium can plant in USA, unfavourable movement in foreign currency exchange rate and higher interest expense and partially offset by lower distribution expenses.

The new aluminium can plant in USA is expected to commence operations before the end of 2023. As a greenfield project, it is only expected to contribute positive results to the Group in 3 to 5 years time.

soon9913, example, you and your partner opened a co, you own 51%, yr partner 49%. So, you are the owner of the co, but when doing acct. 49% of the profit goes to yr friend , this is called non-controlling interest (or minority interest). Yr friend reported this as share of profit of associate.
for this Muhibbah, the profit attribution is not consistent Q by Q, i.e. in Q2, Non-controlling interests (0.312m), Owners of the Company (5.132m). It could be some of the subsidiaries attribute their earnings in half a year quantum (or yearly?), I'm not too sure.

The issue price of the Placement Units is assumed to be RM0.55 each, which represents a discount of approximately 9.20% to the 5D-VWAMP of Hektar REIT Units up to and including the Revised LPD of RM0.61.

On 11 October 2023, UOBKH, had on behalf of the Board, announced that Hektar REIT intended to undertake a private placement of up to 20% of the total number of issued units of Hektar REIT pursuant to the Authority granted by unitholders at the AGM dated 6 April 2023 ("Previous Proposed Private Placement").
After due deliberation on Hektar REIT's funding requirements, the Board has decided to revise the structure of the Proposed Private Placement to entail an issuance of up to 15% of the total number of issued units of Hektar REIT to third party investor(s) at an issue price to be determined later.
Further details of the Proposed Private Placement are set out in the attachment enclosed.

I may say, until last Friday, KLK had no knowledge about the deal blew, and still acquire shares from open market @1.46.

Although there is saying that opposition against the deal but this is only noise that can't create real fear and turbulence, unless the gov make it happens.
