If you think share market is for speculation then you have a lot to learn. Share market is just a riskier asset class compared to fixed deposit. However the riskier is the investment, the higher is the reward or the higher is the loss cf to fixed deposit where your reward is little and the risk is low. When I was a newbie, fortunately I didn't lost but also didn't make much either. Life is a journey of learning and become a wise, smart and intelligent person or investor. God never created satan or any man evil. Like men, God created angels but some angels also rebelled and turn against God. The Bible only mentions the names of four angels from the countless millions that have been created. They are, Gabrielle, whose name means, "God is Mighty", Michael, whose name means, "Like God", Raphael, whose name means, "God Heals", and Lucifer, whose name means, "Light Bearer". All of them were created good!

It was Lucifer who rebelled against God and who through pride, coveted the Throne of God and the worship that belonged to God alone. This resulted in a mighty war in Heaven. We believed because we are heard His call and experienced Jesus in our lives. I just want to share one of my many encounters with the Jesus at work.
Just try to cut a story short, a friend told us that he was a good person leading a good family life with parents, siblings, wife and kids. One day he was involved in RTA (road traffic accident) and ended up in the EMD (Emergency Medical Department) of the General Hospital. He did not want to die as he was still young and had a wife and children to take care. He remembered during the emergency resuscitation that he blacked out and saw himself passing through a complete dark place. He kept calling out to Buddha for help as he was a Buddhist. Not long after that he saw Buddha and asked, "Buddha, please save me, I have always been a good person doing charity and helping others in need when opportunity presents itself." But Buddha replied, "Didn't you see I can't even help myself, I have died too and is here. But I know someone who can help you. He is just ahead and you will meet him." Surely not long on his way he saw a bright light and suddenly he woke up and saw himself in the emergency ward with ventilation machine to ventilate his breathing. After his full recovery and returned home, he celebrated with his family and friends for being alive. After that he search for the true saviour began. He searched in the churches finally found the person with the wings in the RC church (the angel). He told his story to his family, parents and siblings and they all converted to Christianity. You may study anything about any religion but if you did not encounter your god personally then your god is not a living God, it is non existent or fictitious. Then it is like you say it is just your brain playing trick on you used for war etc.

There are a lot of undervalued stocks now. If u have followed the i3 forum everyday ppl are recommending this stocks here and that stocks there. Out of so many stocks, it is best you pick your own based on your risk appetite and criteria.
Class 1. The higher the risk = the higher the return or loss
" 2. The lower the risk = the lower the return or loss
" 3. No risk = no return or no loss
Out of the 3 above the worst are the ppl who are in class 3 (these are the ppl who usually put their money in fixed deposit). But fixed deposit interest is less then the inflation rate so their return is infact "0" if not losing. Even fixed deposit also carry some risks. There is a saying dead ppl do take any risk! Everyday we are facing risks. The only difference is how we manage risks!! To manage them we must first learn how much is our risk appetite or tolerance. Say from 1 to 100 which class do you belong? Every stock picks you will have risks. You must quantify the risks and manage them accordingly to your risk tolerance.
In the recent sell down most stocks are already at the bottom or oversold. Investors are spoilt for choices. There is always a need to correctly time your entry for e.g. LCTITAN is undervalued stock but the price had gone up a bit so it may not a good entry level at this price cf to MULPHA or LIHEN. Learn also when to take profit for every investment decision you take. Just as a suggestion, not a recommendation for you to follow what I liked. I like HY and PETRONM. They have just broken out from their support levels and are going to move upwards.
They will move up due to following reasons.
Good fundaments. Oversold mostly due to fear and poor macroeconomic performance. Following big market corrections is always a good opportunity to enter. Markets will always move up after big corrections, esp O&G counters where oil price is relatively stable or moving upwards. Lastly, there is an impending election.
Of course, there are always ppl who will disagree with me but it normal to have a different opinion. Whatever opinions ppl give also choose the one you like most. Good luck and good fortune!!!

Just take a look at the graph below. It shows the lifespan of dominant currencies going back 600 years. Notice that the US dollar has now been the dominant currency for 88 years, about the same length of time as its predecessors.

“Fiat” currency is paper currency backed by nothing tangible. As opposed to “sound money” which is backed by gold or some other valuable commodity, a fiat currency is backed by nothing more than faith in the government. The US dollar has been a fiat currency since Nixon closed the gold window in 1971 in what was the greatest heist in American history. The scary fact is, the average life span of a fiat currency is 40 years, and the US dollar has now exceeded 40 years as a fiat currency!

Prior to 1933 and for well over 100 years, the dollar was backed by gold, and $20 bought you an ounce of gold. But after the government stole all US citizens’ gold in 1933 for a $20 paper certificate, gold was revalued at US$35, meaning the dollar was devalued by 43% overnight and all foreign and domestic holders of dollars were effectively robbed.

After Nixon closed the gold window completely in 1971, it took $67 to buy an ounce of gold, devaluing the US dollar by 50% again. Today, it takes well over a thousand US dollars to buy that same ounce of gold. Why? Because the US dollar is now nothing more than a fast-declining Federal Reserve note backed by a government that is saddled with $18 trillion in unpayable debt — growing by $10 million per minute!
