Guys, oil palm price is up but a lot of company their yield or output is low due to weather factor. Also fertiliser cost is high as ringgit value drop. That is why company performance won't be so encouraging.

Seph - Any thoughts on BIMB-WA? Good to enter at this low price of 0.51-0.52?

Seph, thanks for sharing your mmode moves. I also made about 10% on Mmode. Sold at 0.545.

Guys,
Time to cut loss and wait for market to go down and then buy back?
Or just hold, and keep on averaging down (in the likely chance that market might go back up instead of fall?)
Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback/reply Seph. Appreciate it. If you are alright with it, do keep me clued in on your movements for pjdev-wc. Thanks!

horriefic, gotta ask ta sifu, olh use the d 400m plus (aka sai lang kikikiki)from land & building sale to buy land in Australia instead of giving special dividend, guess shareholders piss off liau, i sold 75% at average 1.08, today buyback some at 94/94.5

Seph - what are your thoughts on PJDEV-WC? Is it panic selling by fearful people, and time to take advantage by buying? Thanks!

Noted. Thanks Seph. I just checked out the financial reports for Waseong, and I also agree that the margins are too low.

Seph,
Hexza still can go in at this 0.82 price? Profit margins look low for this counter though.

Noted Seph. Thanks for the link. Now I know where to go to check the financial statements for some FA analysis.

Seph,
To get the below information, you go to Bursa website, download the company's latest annual report, and read off the reported B/S and P&L? Or you get the info from some other place?
I hope you don't mind me tapping your brains. At least I want to learn how to fish, and not ask to be given the fish (but definitely not inferring anything about anybody else).
Thanks!

Seph, at prices now, if you had to choose to load up on Salcon or Bimb-Wa, which would you prefer?

:)
Already transacted 1/3 of holdings. Managed to reduce part of the order. Hold the balance 2/3 to fight. Use the money from the 1/3 sold to pick up some other counters.
Still holding TA, OSK, Sona, Salcon, Latitude & Seal.

Thanks Seph. Noted and appreciated.
Selling half my pjdev-wc at 1.19 now. Zero bullets to buy other counters like bimb-wa. So sell pjdev-wc when high, and buy some shares that are low.

Seph,
Just to tap your brains on your below post, you mean that you are buying bimb-wa at 0.67, but if it drops to 0.66 you will cut-loss and sell? Thanks.

time to buy bimb-wa, sudah makan 67, stop loss 66

94.75% of the RM0.75 is held in trust. So RM0.71 is net cash held in a trust account that cannot be touched by Reached management until they make a qualifying acquisition.
So if the price falls below RM0.71, it's a good to top up more shares as you are paying less to get RM0.71 per share.

Seph,
I don't really understand the mechanics of what you said below at ChrissyConn forum. How does the market pricing in the privatization of PJD make the premium on pjdev-wc low?
Posted by sephiroth > Aug 14, 2014 11:33 AM | Report Abuse
asakura, i said many times liau mah, the mkt is pricing in privatization of pjd, at the end of the day shareholders will not accept olh's pathetic offer

inwest88,
Thanks for the reply. I appreciate it. I discovered that M2U, which I use, has quite decent technical charting tools, so will use thay for a start.

Noted, and thanks Connie for all the links and feedback. I have bookmarked and will go through for sure. Am actually already going through StockCharts.com 'Technical Analysis 101' write-ups (Part 1- 15) which I find a good intro and easy to understand.
Thanks once again.

Trustme,
What I meant was what chart do you look at to get your technical information/readings like support, breakout etc that you write about in your posts. Anyway, I probably need to read and familiarise a bit more before asking too many newbie questions (which I am).

No lah, I am nice guy. This website (and this sub-forum) has really helped me a lot in my investments, and I now want to continue to learn more about TA so that at least I can understand and discuss a bit with all you TA people here!

Trustme932,
Can you advise me what software/website you use for TA? I would like to start learning about TA and get some understanding on it. Thanks!

Inwest88,
I want to start learning about TA, so started reading about TA basics from the internet. I currently trade using M2U which does not have charting tools. What charting tool, software or website do you recommend/suggest. Thanks for your advise and feedback. Looking forward to discussing TA here in the future!

Connie and all,
I am fundamentally (pun intended) a FA person. But spending so much time reading the forums here on i3 and also monitoring the market and my investments that now want to start learning the basics of TA. Always read you guys talking about TA stuff that I need to also understand a bit lah! What book or website do you recommend I read first (something easy to understand and that explains the basis behind TA clearly), and what charting tool do you recommend. I currently just use M2U to trade.
Thanks in advance!

asakura,
My understanding is that after the rcps ex-date, the mother share will fall by 25 cents as well, so technically back to parity from an investment point of view. But of course the mother share and the rcps may also go up (or go down).

duit,
Thanks for the reply. I do appreciate it. Got me thinking, and learning more.

duit,
Is the low profit margins of Masteel a concern?
1Q May 2014, sales 337m, but profit only 7.28m (2.1% margin)
4Q Feb 2014, sales 351m, profit only 5.4m (1.5% margin) etc.
Not saying the price won't go up. Just asking for feedback and wanting to learn more.
With such low profit margins, there is no 'margin of safety', which is one of the key requirements of Warren Buffet etc.

QR is releasing this week, shouldn't ppl have confidence in this coming quarter given the company prospect and its fundamentals are quite good based on the past 2 quarters? Also, RSI now showing an oversold signal, I guess disposal mainly from fund managers. So should we not priced in now?
