@AK2899 the aquisition of 1segamat was completed on september 18. The new full rental income should be included in 2017Q4 . 1segamat generates revenue over 12 million a year.

Loss from property evaluation is not a realised loss. Hektar is still paying good dividend 9 to 10 sen a year.

Hektar has subang parade in kl area. This mall has big freehold land and was valued around 427 million. Does any one here know this is good value ?

CMMT quater eps 1.38 sen share price rm1.55. Hektar quater eps 2.4 sen share price rm1.34. Its a no brainer.

Last time when hektar was 89 cents i didnt buy it. I bought supermax instead at 80 cents. Supermax went up to 8 ringgit plus in 1 year time. I sold the supermax then and bought hektar. I hold very little hektar now after i switched to atrium few months ago. Cheers!

Hektar had right issues few years ago @rm1.23 for new malls. After that was done, the share price went up to rm1.50+ in short time.

For rental income the retail reits are still better than buying shops your own. The conventional shopping is affected by online shopping and therefore logistic reits are doing well.

Facts : the last 6 years flbhd earned nett 105 cents, paid dividend 49 cents, average 47%. If profit this year is 24 cents, we should get about 11 cents, about 6% dividend return.

@aliyusof guru you are absolutely right. I too wasted my first 15 years of investing time and money tried to be clever. Then i took 5 gap years to calm myself down. I started again in 2008 to take advantage of the depressed market and it worked out well for me. I retired young few years ago with passive dividend income. In my humble opinion, over long term if one could earn a return of over 15% a year for his portfolio he is considered better than many fund managers. Now i only put my money in shares that dun stress me.

Hektar's malls have 96% occupancy, busy collecting rent and you say it lost money are you kidding me ? The reason Hektar makes right issue was to buy another mall. Hektar has done the right issue few years ago at around rm 1.20 and the share price went up to 1.50 very quick. Please do some homework instead of talking like a half bucket investor.

I think the escalating cost is one time cost paid to property agents for getting tenants. The cost for second quater wil go back to normal.
