From Ahbah ""CLIM is an investment adviser and does not hold any shares in ICAP, either as nominee or as beneficial owner, and has disclosed clearly how its clients’ shares in ICAP are held."
Based on ICAP Annual Reports and Bursa announcements, London is substantial shareholder but then, they say they are not shareholder.. sounds very confusing

Need to pay fees first before UT can perform and also no guarantee, unlike CEF.

To be fair, no fund manager is perfect. Even WB make mistakes. Will have dead ducks in the portfolio but if the overall portfolio is still performing, why complain. it is not fair to keep harping on specific stocks and forget about the overall performance.

Ya agreed, everyone wants to make money, London also, but must be ethical. if icap wound up, they can go elsewhere easily. Poor novice, small fries investors, aunties, uncles, may need to rely to tips, rumours, or other "so called experts" since can't afford fund manager. No more closed-end fund in Msia, if buy unit trust, before they perform, need to pay fees first...5-6%?? Don't think got any UTs with sustainable track record over 10-15 years.

Ahbah, your statement is contradictory, how can small fry investors always invest and can invest anywhere they like...u sound like a big time investor!
Small fry like me has very limit resources, must be careful with our hard-earned $$ and choose wisely, ...I think investing in ICAP is not bad, especially in bearish market like now, can still give 9% compound return over 15 yrs. 9% compound return for another 20 years is hell lots of money, can someone do the maths plzzzz...why rock the boat??
U say putting $$ in savings account is also investing....did I hear u wrongly or u are joking!! only 1-2%, maybe 0% later or even have to pay the bank to put $$ the future - negative interest rate, have u heard? Banks have been imposing fees for their "services" and may do the same for maintaining savings accounts for customers in the future....pls don't simply advise..

yaloh..keep asking novice investors to follow London to buy more non-stop...sure expect the NAV to go higher and higher to gain more.... mean TTB doing a fine job but many here complain he is lousy manager, masking his poor investing skills with quotes from Buffett, etc. Hmmm....I smell something fishy here...
Ahbah, u not answered my Q, if ICAP close shop, where else for small fry investors like me invest?? Im not looking for short-term gain. Especially when market so bearish. Seem like London is helping themselves then small fry like us.

Stockraider : I M QUITE SURPRISE WITH THE FINDINGS THAT ICAP CANNOT EVEN BEAT KAF TACTICAL FUNDS PERFORMANCE OVER A VERY LONG PERIOD OF 15 YEARS LOH:
Where u get your fact? From the websites, cumulative perf of KTF since launch in Sep 2004 - 17 Oct 2019 is 114.17% , as at 30 Sep 2019, ICAP NAV cumulative perf is double of KTF, even share price beats KTF. Are u seeing the right KTF??
Don't simply bash TB lah and please STOP confusing others....there are genuine novice investors here who want to listen to OBJECTIVE and UNBIASED views!!!
