KUCHING: Polis mengesahkan menerima laporan berhubung kejadian bekas Yang di-Pertua Negeri, Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud dibawa keluar dari sebuah hospital swasta, di sini, tengah malam tadi.
Pesuruhjaya Polis Sarawak, Datuk Mancha Ata berkata siasatan kini dijalankan mengikut Seksyen 336 Kanun Keseksaan iaitu perbuatan cuai sehingga membahayakan nyawa atau keselamatan orang lain.
"Pihak polis kontinjen Sarawak telah terkesan satu posting tular membabitkan bekas TYT Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud yang dimuat naik di media sosial.
Sehubungan itu, pihak polis menasihatkan orang ramai supaya tidak menyebarkan perkara ini dan tidak membuat sebarang spekulasi," katanya dalam kenyataan, hari ini.
Susulan itu, portal berita yang berpangkalan di London, 'Sarawak Report' mendakwa berdasarkan laporan polis yang dibuat oleh seorang doktor berkenaan, Abdul Taib yang sedang menerima rawatan dibawa balik secara paksa ke rumahnya di Demak Jaya, di sini, tengah malam tadi.
