Myeg always have competitors in the past just that those competitors are not competitive enough, thus, market has a illusion of Myeg monopolised the market as they perform and doing very well. Just like Intel vs. AMD chips in the pass. The stronger stay expanding.
Myeg is facing short term hipcup in Malaysia market but regional expansion is the potential huge bright future for Myeg. Expected all hard work will be fruited in 2 years time.

Price drop may be due to MED-BUMIKAR MARA SDN BHD exiting the company due to its own internal board tussle related to MBMR. I think they almost done disposed of Ewein share (might left less than 5mil share after 24/8/2018 as per ewein bursa announcement on 27/8/18). after they done the share price may have a good chance to reverse. Any idea who take up their ~22+% share?

This quarter will get less than 2 cents as i believe cash flow tight as no full payment from Splash. But surely will be compensated in near future once deal/debt settled as special div is expected, even if the debt to be settled by installment(mostly will be).

if not mistaken the sst/gst platform project is just a one off 180Mil project awarded ~2014?? may be which might not have much recurring income except maintenance fee??. most important is the gst/sst monitoring system which will provide long term recurring income. any update?

just for sharing, no any buy/sell recommendation.

Rehiring and renewal is of 2 different project. myeg major earning is through "sub products" of legal fw renewal process eg insurance etc, while the renewal process fee earned is quite minimal. as long as the renewal concession still intact, myeg is still ok, or else vice versa. myeg's earning wont hurt much even if they do free for government.
It was already known from begining that the rehiring illegal fw program is only of short life project. please refer their previous annual reports for hint. also, logically, decreasing in illegal fw number = increase legal fw = increase permit renewal = increase revenue in future. so i think myeg still hv room to grow IF their license for fw renewal is allowed to continue.
in 2 yrs time if the Philippines business sucessfully expanded, this will help mitigates risk of solely depend on malaysia market.
in IT line, once you hit economy of scale, the return margin will surely very handsome (of cause additional relationship is of good help too).
Interestingly, the latest balance sheet also shown that their hire purchase business is in rapid expanding mode.
the only major risk is if myeg will be allowed to compete in any government open tender. If so, they still stand a high chance to secure more future project.

i just sharing my 2 cents from business point of view without considering the political negative effects. Yes, this counter is currently very volatile due to many uncertainty & rumours. It has to try hard to make the cloud clear in 1~2 weeks times or else...

more new legal fw will finally benefit myeg (if & if their contract retained), might not for the 1st year, but upcoming renewal cases will be extra revenue to the company.

dust almost settled. another week to go. myeg will go on. put a side emotional panic, uncontrolled (by us) whatever political issue, this still a good company.

Drastic panic selling will settle in 2 weeks time, hopefully.
and fundamental of company will be relooked into again by market.
Selling volume seems like start to ease a bit. may be it might need another round of limit down to calm down situation especially among retailers (look at the high sellers volume), and then life go on.
To be realistic, in business world no matter how good & innovative of your idea and system, "good connection" & " necessary support" of government of the time are sometimes unavoidable in order to sell your product, especially when involving public affair. though it is very bad that transparency was lacked during previous era.
soon or later market will realize that myeg is a very competant & innovative company. To regain market support & back to its glory day is not easy but still promising, provided myeg work really hard to clear its name from previous "connection", or rumours, i don't know, as that lady's image is really too too bad & tarnished to be related to and she is beyond "repair".

myeg is dealing with registered FW. only 1.7m are reported registered by Nov 2017( refer link https://themalaysianreserve.com/2017/11/09/1-7m-legal-foreign-workers-registered-malaysia/ ) new govt targets to cut 2m from 6m to 4m. Means still room to grow, unless their service is suddenly terminated which supposedly due @ 2020, from business point of view is highly unlikely as they performed.
scrap gst might affect them but who know new govt might need their service to monitor SST (read some where there was tax evasion rate of 40% during SST era). might be good chance to buy at huge discount price on Monday.
