Hi Radzi, Royce,... based on announcement date 22 Dec 2016, 30 Dec 2016... they did already disposed earlier. For top guns, typically they would need to plan business goals/targets for next year ahead (which happens to be 2017). They are the ones who decides the AAX path (to grow or to slow down) .

Q2 result should already be known to "those people" way back on 30 Jun 2017. This is the date Q2 account is closed... which I suspect made Mr Lim Onn dumped so much.

And if there are leaked Q2 report information... banks/institutions should have some tips 1-2 weeks earlier before actual announcement at about 24-Aug-2017.

Based on chart trend so far and action by Mr. Lim Onn.... Q2 announced maybe negative or have slight Q-O-Q increase... which AAX (in fact all airlines) are expecting.

Just my opinion on what typical businessmen would do to gain profits. I could be wrong.

Took so long to reach the formula level price.... apa la AAX.

From technical chart point of view.... that 0.55 level is a haunted level. Many short temper traders die here on 22 May 2016. It is a strong resistance level with many hungry ghosts waiting to sell. I dont think it is "easy" to reach here, unless you have super trader that can absorb all the hungry ghosts selling.

According to the chart trend, at the moment, AAX is coma/dead - no heart beat until someone gives AAX life support above 0.43. Same trend is seen in AAX-WA.

Master Radzi calculation have some sense, based on operating data.

What I really worried is AAX management will use the typical comments below in future Q2 release in media:

1) the fuel cost (oil continues to remain uptrend thoroughout 2016. Although it reduces slightly throughout 2017. Oil is still high and remains our biggest number in operating cost. This unfortunately drags our profit down)
2) ringgit depreciation (although ringgit improved in trends... it is still very high compare to 2016 Q2, Q3 and Q4, and this affects our profit as our major operation in US dollars)
3) passenger load (above expectation... hits 1.39 million despite Q2 is the weakest. This has help to cushion our loss, etc etc.).
Over and all, Q2 is the toughest quarter for any airlines. I am proud AAX is still standing strong and performs despite our toughest quarter... bla bla bla. Next, Q3 and Q4 hopefully will be more promising quarter for AAX.

Sometimes I have the impression that AAX management is saving something. Even if AAX makes handsome profit in Q2... why would they need to publish that value... and struggles to exceed that value in next coming quarters? It is more easier if they publish numbers that are slightly meets market expectation => market expects Q2 negative... and saved the remaining numbers for next quarters where market expects high. Management can effectively showed continuous improvement across all quarters with lesser efforts.

got to be careful with quarter report published date. If you noticed, by the time official quarter report is released, insiders already know the next quarter result.

Example:
Q1'2017 offical quarter report release (25-May-2017)
Q2'2017 AAX company quarter ends/closure (30-June-2017)
Just 1 month difference from the published date.

I believed the price reflected here, right now, is the future image of Q2'2017. Insider already knew on 30 June 2017. Normally Q2 is negative anyway.

Q3'2017 - From kopitiam uncle talk, I supposed with Raya+school holidays last end June, the profit should increase... especially on traffic from Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia.

cannot compare direct AirAsia vs AAX. Its like comparing anak manja and anak tiri.
if you want compare, should compare AAX-WA movement vs AAX mother.

Usually, AAX-WA move first, then AAX mother.

So in summary... AAX earnings will be affected if:

1) Competitors fight the ticket price lower than AAX
2) Low passenger volume <= Thanks to our govt tourism tax
3) Ringgit weakening

Seems like AAX forming pole+ascending triangle flag pattern. Also maybe in Euler's 2nd wave. High probability to go new high based on these.

A-1) makes very handsome profit already sell (zero or very short positive comments, go enjoy already)
A) makes very handsome profit still holding (crazy gila happy comments)
B) makes ok-ok profit still holding (neutral comments with some data to confirm)
C) makes ok-ok profit already sell (comments swing positive-negative... sekejap -1, sekejap 1)
D) makes little loss cut-loss (quiet, very little or less comment)
E) makes little loss still holding (quiet, very little or less comment)
F) makes super loss still holding (crazy gila negative comments, some even asks all to buy-in)
G) makes super loss already sell (buat kacau in high popular ranking forums)

Can really learn a lot through people in (B). A lot of techniques, strategies, etc.
