- This quarter result dropped due to less profit from passport sector during MCO.
-The worse might be over, as total lockdown is over. However, the best is yet to come, giving that oversea travels are still banned.
-Will the result of next quarter be worse than this? I don't think it will as the worse period is over, so coming quarters things will only get better.
- So will the price drop further? Based on my experience, stock price is always forward looking, the current price is already reflecting current QR, so the next movement will be the forecast for the next QR.

Conclusion, the worse is over, but the best is yet to come.

Whatever it is, given that Datasonic is a company that will adapt to changes , they will survive for a very long time. Don't forget in CBB live video, they are developing e-KYC, this is an important step as in future, all IDs are connected online, they are moving forward as they forsee that smart cards might be replaced very soon by e-wallets, and if e-wallets is to be used widely, e-KYC is needed as everyone need a verified online ID.

Here's an interesting one, the WA price is exceeding the mother share, so if you have profit on the WA, maybe can sell it off and buy the mother share, this way should be able to earn more. Just a suggestion based on my calculation.

@CalmAndWise I would choose C92 as it has better price premium %. C93 is at 44% , which mean it has move faster than the mother share by a lot.

@salman So that when the price goes up, it will be stable. Weak holders tend to sell off very fast to take profit, causing the lost of momentum. If weak holders are flushed out, the price can shoot up very fast.

I'm waiting for I-Kad announcement which should be by next week, maybe it will help the price to break resistance!

MYEG has been trading sideway for a while, same as Dsonic previously. As the NIIS announcement is getting close, I believe there will be movement soon.

- Visa Luar Negara
Dsonic tendered for the maintenance of the system, but not sure when the result will be out. Project value RM15-20 mil for 3 years.

They are developing the system, and once it is done, they will benefit from it.

- Electronic Medical Records
They are devolping this system, it is a cloud system to store patients record, so that it can be shared among hospitals and clinics.

Current system contact is ending this month, so by August should announce the result. Expect to see more movement next week!

KUALA LUMPUR (July 23): RHB Retail Research said Datasonic Group Bhd is showing early signs of developing a rebound following its 1-month’s correction phase, which recently reached a low of RM1.31.

In a trading stocks note today, the research house said a positive bias may emerge above RM1.38 with resistance levels marked at RM1.46 and RM1.50.

“A stop-loss can be placed below RM1.38,” it said.

@TtreeInvestor S5 is already established, they are not a new company, the RTO is just to gain more funds. So if MYEG consortium able to get the contract, then they can just start work immediately without the completion. Even if they don't get NIIS, S5 will definitely help them to win more contracts next time.
Now it's down to MYEG vs Dsonic, Dsonic alone is very capable of the project, and if PH is still in power, I think Dsonic will get it. However with PN in power, and with MYEG having the "experience", they have a good chance too!

The current price of MYEG and Dsonic has not include NIIS hype, I'm expecting more movement as the date of announcement is getting nearer.

Here's the simple breakdown of what is happening:
1. MYEG sold 10% of S5 share to Ancom Logistic.
2. Ancom Logistic together with MYEG and gang will take over S5.
3. Ancom Logistic will then be listed in Bursa as another company.

@calmandwise Hi! It should goes up during opening at 10AM later, as retailers will all rush in. However do keep in mind that those with insider news have already invested in earlier. This rise is a hype and might be over as soon as it started, or it will continue for few days then correction period, remember to take profit whenever u feel comfortable.

MYIMMS will end next month. We can see MYEG+S5 is making a lot of moves, and Dsonic just steady without anything news. There are 2 explanations from the recent movements:

1. MYEG consortium is confident of getting the contract, hence they are preparing everything for it.

2. Dsonic already has all the expertise to get the contract, hence they don't need to make any move. Whereas MYEG consortium movement is making a last ditch effort to try to win it.

In my opinion, if I'm handing out this contract, I would choose a company that can handle it alone, less parties involved equal to less problem. MYEG consortium consists of at least 3 parties, which I think will be expensive for the project.

Previous projects was handled by single company, HTPadu for MYIMMS, then Prestariang for SKIN which was cancelled due to high cost. So if HTPADU and Prestariang can both handle the project alone (although not so effective), then maybe Datasonic will have a good chance too given their experience in the field.
