uptrending,
did you attend the recent AGM or EGM?
did u listen the CFO said no more cash call ? i need your help to clarify on this. TQ.
as what i read from the circular dated 25 july 2019 (page 15) saying that the project cost has increased to RM6.69b, hence the funding of the project thru equity portion is RM1.95b, amount need to inject in WCESB by WCEHB is RM1.56b. (based on 80% equity interest)
total cash injected into WCESB amounted to RM721m as at now, they need another RM886m to pump into the company, the coming right issue is only able to raise RM320m, means they still lack of RM566m, even though they said this will be funded by the RCPS under option 1 and exercises of warrants, but obviously this is not enough. (circular page 23)
Do u think there is another cash call in next 2-3 years? or even worse, private placement?

Yistock, the elimination of inter-segment profits has appeared many times in previous quarter result include 2Q & 3Q FY 2014,there is no JV with DOFICO that time, hence the figure u said in latest quarter report may not relate with JV with DOFICO Vietnam.

Yistock, how you conclude that "to source the tobacco product for malaysia market FROM OTHER BAT FACTORIES" mean "more order will be for BAT regional factories (SG, AUS)"? Is it possible BAT Malaysia source from factories other country other than SG and AUS? TQ...

Yistock, tq for ur reply. Tien wah exports to Spore and Australia which account for more than 80% of its revenue. Besides, in their quarterly report, the management comments " Although the Group is currently benefiting from the stronger US dollar, there is
no certainty on the direction of foreign currency fluctuations." I was wonder how u say strong ringgit will benefit tien wah. Anyhow i m looking forward for your writing about it. TQ.

Yistock, the interest saving is not 600k per quarter but is only about 500k per annum.(It is stated in the right issue announcement.) I think ur eps is a bit optimistic. The next quarter EPS may go down as the RM has strengthen against USD, besides, the right issue will dilute the eps. Take in the dilution effect, the PE may not stand at PE 10 even your projection is right. However, if tien wah EPS could achieve 0.40 per year, after dilution effect, it will become 0.26, hence dividend could be 0.13, this turn out to be 6% DY if u buy at current share price and take the right issue. Since tien wah is dividend play, i think use DY as benchmark will more accurate rather than use PE. This is just my opinion. TQ.

Mr Koon, I have one suggestion for you. Since you are willing to share your knowledge in stock market, I strongly suggest that you might consider to publish a book related to stock investment.
The reasons are: the youngster nowadays struggle to live in city. The cost of living is very high. For those work as employees level, very less of them able to live comfortably due to the cost of living is too high. For instance, how many youngster afford to buy a new house in Klang Valley without the support from their family? Dr Mathathir said Chinese are rich but I knew many Chinese (or even Malays or other races) are actually not included myself. I also come from a poor family. My parents work as rubber tapper when they was young. If you able to teach them how to fish, I think it is very good for those who willing to learn to earn a better living subsequently to give their parents a better lives. Moreover, to publish a book can keep your wisdoms, knowledge and experiences which is beneficial to your own next generations and the society.
I suggest Mr Koon to collect the published articles which related to stock investment all these years, together with the topic that never written likes : how to analyze different types of business (plantations, constructions, properties, etc), how should a investor react to bull market and bear market, your own experiences when facing with financial market crisis such as during the year 1997, 2008, your strategy in portfolio management and even your own track records of successful investing or even failure in investment ( I believe a successful investor has some failure investment as well).
Mr Koon, above just my personal opinion and suggestion. Again, thanks for your sharing and I must tell you that your sharing is very beneficial especially to those young investors.

I have drove all the way from Negeri Sembilan to attend the open discussion with Mr Koon yesterday. I appreciated very much the sharing by Mr Koon and also Mr Teo. Nice to meet some new friends like Swee Kiang, Chak, Frankie, CPTeh, Tracy, etc.
I think it is worth even drive a very long way to listen to the sharing. The sharing session might be short but all we listen is the wisdom which only could be get through years and experiences.
I think it is fair to post different points of view regarding Jtiasa here. But any comments should be refer to facts and figures instead of personal attack which without any proves and evidences.
As we know, share selection is an art but not science. Surely we can have different point of view and we should "agree to disagree" on this.
My impression on Mr Koon and Mrs Koon is: they are very nice and humble. Where can you find a tycoon that can share with you their wisdom and treat you a nice dinner without expect anything from you? (except encourage you to do charity after you success)
Thanks again to Mr & Mrs Koon.

Uptrending, I have reread the circular and I am quite sure that my figure is correct. Pls recheck circular dated 25 July 2019 page 14 and 15. The amount needed to be injected into WCESB based on 80% by WCEHB is 1.56b. As the AGM/EGM is dated 29 Aug 2019 (later than the circular), so please correct me if you have got your figure from the AGM/EGM or elsewhere. As RM 1.07b and RM 1.56b is a huge difference. TQ.
