The finalisation of the sale takes longer than anticipated because Semado wants to ensure that it obtains the best price for the vessels. Semado is now evaluating all proposals received and making arrangement for inspection of the vessels.

2) In the event Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad makes a call on Sumatec's corporate guarantee, whether Sumatec is solvent (as defined in Paragraph 9.19A(4) of the BURSA MMLM.
In June 2016, Bank Pembangunan and Semado agreed on a total sum of RM73.8 million as the full and final settlement of the loan. Semado is now discussing with Bank Pembangunan to revert to the above agreed final settlement sum as well as to grant extension of time to complete the sale of the vessels.
Under the corporate guarantee, Sumatec could be liable for the shortfall between the outstanding loan amount and the net realisable value of the vessels, if any. A desktop valuation carried out by an independent ship valuer in September 2016 estimated the market value at USD7.0 million (approximately RM29 million) per vessel. Based on the final settlement sum of RM73.8 million and the desktop valuation which is subject to a final full inspection, the shortfall is expected to be less than 5% of the Company’s net assets as at 30 June 2016.
Additionally, the Company has net current assets of RM140 million as at 30 June 2016.
The Board, after having inquired into the affairs of the Company, is of the opinion that the Company will be able to pay all its debts as and when they fall due within the period of 12 months from the date of this announcement.

One more things sumatec should answer us. Since the vessels are taken by bank now. You should had hired a bank to assess the market value of the vessels. Diu nia sing. If the market value is 180m. N you hide this from public. Mean you are not doing your work diligencely.

Correct me if i am wrong . Sumatec only liable to pay the difference from the proceed of vessels sales and the loan amount. If they sold the vessels at 100m . Sumatec need to pay 140m -100m which is 40m.

Correct ? Very funny out of sudden come out this news. Where the management failed to sell the vessels on time. N they have no idea how much the vessels is worth.
