Power generation segment did really well this time, and looking ahead things are pretty rosy for this segment. YTL though really need to look at how to bring YES 5G to profitability. losses seem to be widening compared to last year.

after supermax posted double the profits only this joyvest muncul on supermax again to rain on the parade, despite the clear cut difference between the 2 models of harta (OEM) and supermax (OBM and ODN). Clearly you don't understand or don't wish to understand despite so many people trying to explain. Since the share price ran up ahead of earnings for Q4, we also will expect the share price to run up ahead of Q1.

actually chief, he has been calling sell in supermax even from january 2020. can even check in his msg history. I remembered it cos i was looking into the forum then when the news on wuhan came out.

see if his second part (Supermx RM91mil PAT) also wrong or not.

Many trash investors call Herbert stupid.

I have said many times that Hartalega is the ultimate beneficiary of current crisis.

They verbally abused Herbert for telling the fact that Supermax will not benefit despite OBM model.

The reason is because the global shortage is high quality nitrile gloves for medical industry.

Only intelligent investors know the fact.

Supermax upcoming result is only RM91mil
Harta is RM450mil.

Supermax's business are mainly in United States, United Kingdom, and Brazil.

he is using a single site to generalize healthcare practice, which is not what people who engage in scientific method should do.

i also work in hospital and i see first hand the increase in how many gloves being used, definitely not the usual as practicaltrader claims earlier.

Malaysian govt hospital generally use latex gloves though, equally good, less puncture resistant though, and also too bad for ppl who have latex allergies.

@practicaltrader. not every hospital will practice the exact same methods as what you claim to say. Other places do change 1 set of gloves for every patient seen. You cannot use what you see at one single site to generalize what other healthcare facilities function.

@KL Liew, its not about whether the price is so high or so low, a companies share might be worth USD 100 and still be inexpensive and value to buy, while another could be worth RM0.01 sen but worthless. Don't just look at the price, look at the inherent value, profitability and sustainability going forward la.

my thinking is like this,

say if demand increase further over supply (which is likely as cases continue to ramp up), ASP will still increase, say conservatively 5-10% M-o-M

If demand and supply increase at similar pace (as most of the glove manufacturers are increasing supply), maybe ASP might go up or become static then every QR will be probably similar to the upcoming one.

If new covid cases drops off the cliff, govt and hospitals still need to replenish stockpile and increase them to maintain epidemic preparedness, ASP maintain or go down for as long as demand is still there, plus we also have to consider demand for gloves from other non health care sectors in the new normal.

If there is a vaccine in the future, medical staff will also need gloves/PPE.

We need to remember currently, a lot of the hospitals don't have long term stockpile as PPEs are being used faster than they can replace them now.
If we overcome this pandemic, governments and healthcare sectors will institute better pandemic preparedness and start keeping larger stockpiles of PPE.

Going forward, healthcare personnel will also generally use more PPE than before to protect themselves from any possible new infections
