KUALA LUMPUR: Kuala Lumpur Kepong Bhd's (KLK) group chief financial officer (CFO) Soon Wing Chong has resigned from the plantation company with effect from June 30.

It said on Monday that Soon's resignation was to pursue other career opportunities.

Following his resignation, Leong Sean Meng shall be the acting group CFO with immediate effect.

“He shall also continue in his current role as group chief accountant,” it said.

KL Kepong said Leong holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Honours) majoring in mathematics and physics from the University of Malaya and qualified as an accountant from the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

Prior to joining KL Kepong, he was an accountant in the public accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand for 10 years.

Leong has been with KLK group since 1991 and was appointed group chief accountant on Oct 1, 2016.

As agree between your goodself and Tan Sri Dato Danny Tan, the Hospitalisation and Surgical Insurance coverage for room and board will be capped at RM 800 per night and the annual limit shall be at RM 180,000 per annum.
