Based on today's prices:
Mother = 2.85-0.25=2.60 x2 /5 = 1.04
Warrant = 1.54 x2 /5 = 0.62
Warrant exercise price = 1.35-0.15 = 1.20 x2 /5 = 0.48
Warrant conversion cost = 0.62+0.48 = 1.10
Premium = 1.10/1.04 = 5.8%

Pursuant to the Share Split, up to 183,310,470 additional Warrants 2014/2019 will be issued and allotted to the holders of Warrants 2014/2019. The exact number of Additional Warrants to be issued and allotted will depend on the number of outstanding Warrants 2014/2019 as at the entitlement date of the Share Split. Any fractional number of additional Warrant 2014/2019 arising from the Share Split will be disregarded and will be dealt with in such manner as the Board of Directors of Ekovest in its absolute discretion deems fit or expedient and in the best interest of Ekovest. The existing exercise price of the Warrants 2014/2019 of RM1.35 each will be revised to RM1.20 each after the Special Dividend and then subsequently to RM0.48 each after the Share Split.

greatful, I saw your calculation just now but not convenient to reply, I think it is correct.
I didn't see it now but I think the warrant premium after share split should be about 6%, it is considered very good for a growth company.

For those who want to exercise warrant will see themselves paying lesser in converting to mother share later. Since I hold more warrant than mother share, so I am happy.
2017-02-13 21:57 | Report Abuse
Very sorry for confusing, apology. Only mother share entitled for special dividend payout of RM0.25 per share.
Meanwhile, warrant holders will entitle for reduction of exercise price from RM1.35 to RM1.20. A saving of RM0.15.

Wow, the adjustment was 15 cents for warrant, exercise price is adjusted from RM1.35 to RM1.20. More than I participated. Very happy!

Yesterday Spoken to a director of a public listed developer cum construction company who is based KL & asked which steel company they normally bought the steel bars from, he said they will source directly from the major steel producers because of sirim certification requirement.
According to him, SSteel is focusing on rebar & selling at cheaper price while ann joo is more focusing niche segments such as I-beam though ann joo also sells rebar.
That explains part of the reasons why ssteel has higher revenue but thinner margin while ann joo has lower revenue but higher margin.

I think it is good to share with all about the coming year's construction jobs in China, most projects carried with construction budgeted costs of more than 1b, many are even more than 10b.

Back in September 2016 when Ekovest was RM1.80+, there were people said Ekovest was overpriced but I believed Ekovest worth more than RM3 then.
After all news & events gone through these few months & Ekovest is priced at RM2.85 now, I believe Ekovest is now worth more than RM4.
Time will tell & let's see.

There was one day I didn't realise that someone sold me 1,100 shares only, making my cost per share I purchased ridiculously high, nearly pengsan that day :(

Because I have to pay min brokerage commission of RM28 for every transactions, I have to buy at least 5,000 shares or at least share value of RM6,666, in order to make the commission lowest for every share purchase.

But to be fair, Sime businesses are doing not bad if compared to those like FGV, Proton, Mas...

never doubt on VT's ability in business, in fact, I quite admire him for his ability to do big things & make good money from retailing. To me, he is retail king in Malaysia.
But the issue is his business ventures, which seem so successful in many aspects, just can't turn into price performance for BJcorp.

Understood on first 3, but Sime & Bjcorp.... hmmm...
I will be more worried on the last 2 companies' management, not on their businesses.

Warrant is higher risk higher reward investment, just be more cautious & fully understand the rules & regulations of investing in warrant.
------------------/---------------------------
moneySIFU 77huat77, it depends on your risk appetite. Warrant will bring double reward if you believe Ekovest will do lot more better in future.
However, it is also double edged sword where a drop in mother shares price may have double effect over warrant too.
