On a pessimistic view, if the US continues to raise interest and impose high tariffs and the market overreacts, it may cause a big scale global recession and slow down China's economy eventually, which would further inpact china counters as well

Just a question here, anyone able to tell why was Huaan's dropping steeply in 2007-2008 despite showing consistent profit for 6 quarters consecutively which is comparable to now?

Again, when you see people who do not own a stock or or is even interested to buy a stock but yet often comment negatively , and not even based on reasonable or logical explanations, there can only be 2 reasons:
1. these guys are idiots who have nothing better to do in life;
2. they actually have vested interest to spread fear and negativity so that they themselves (or for whoever they are working for/with) may collect more at a cheaper price.

These price movements are no doubt thrilling and scary, but you should only fear if you are looking for quick profit holding for short term.
The fundamentals have not changed after it was sold to hy at rm2 until its peak at rm19 or even now at rm12.8 with pe 4+.
Many of you quoted a lower crack spread from the cme website showing mogas 92, but mogas92 is not even relevant to hy.
No banks would be so stupid to give a loan of such a huge sum to a company who does not have good business prospect or have enough assets to back the loan.
No doubt there many IBs involved in these movements. Remember they have to outplay one another too (assuming they do not form an alliancel) but time will definitely bring the price of hy to reflect its true value. Provided its fundamentals remain.

Again simple reasoning can be applied here. Put yourself in a position where you have A loan of RM1k with 50% interest, and B offers you a loan of RM1k with 1% interest, isn't it in your simplest logical mind to take up loan B to finance loan A?
And in this context, as announced, part of it will be used for refinancing and part for upgrading.

If any, it shows that HRC has good management and you should be aware of how much due diligence is involved before this kind of big loan is approved. You should ask your banker, lawyer, or accountant/auditor friends. We are talking about a few hundred millions, not 100-200k or even 10-20m.

Oil price does not directly affect profitability of refiners. In a barrel of crude oil, the oil is refined into different petroleum products and the crack spread for these profucts is on its own and there are many factors affecting the crack spread, eg demand supply of the respective petroleum products, which are not always only affected by oil price itself.

To some who who are saying this counter is being manipulated for the reason it being a Chinese company, open your eyes and look at Petronm, tightly pegged with HY as well, both were sold down and bought up again same time same day.

Look at Petronm's CW which is expiring soon and spot the similarity with HY. Simple common sense isn't it?

Depeche I have said before the rebound will be very strong and I am a 100% HY supporter and dumb dumb holder...RSS is permitted in Malaysia and 237 stocks are allowed for RSS....This is reality.
Margin call? Maybe....
But identity of the RSS applicant is kept confidential.
Monday should be a good show...so could be days and weeks after....good luck to us and make lots of $$ and please invest within your financial means.

My view is that its not too hard to figure what is going on..the IBs who sold down will have of course have to buy back the panic sellers' tickets..when that starts everybody will jump in again including the retailers, and especially with a new cw coming in, they will want to collect now at this price at such a big discount and most likely do the same thing down the road..and hence the panic buying from every side. The most important and unknown factor is how much do they actually hold?

I believe they still have quite a sum of tickets left, remember we are talking about Three IBs' cws expiring in Feb. could be just letting people bite on the panic buying for them to earn even more. just be aware and not to overbuy.

newbtrader If you notice the buy n sell order there has been big volume on both sides simultaneously. There has been a new big fund coming in to buy.

The timely article released upon the buying uptrend only confirms that some parties are working with some of the big funds to continue the sell down.

Also notice that petronm n hy price are always pegged together, up or down, the similarity beingg that both hy n petron have CWs expiring in Feb.

I understand quite a number of new comers have bought in at a higher price, and especially when you dont know what youre buying, youre gonna have a nervous breakdown and make even more rash and irrational moves, this is the human nature where the big funds are always taking advantage of and thats why they always appear as the winners of the market.
Do your research, know the value of what you buy. Dont follow blindly, whether in a buy call or a sell call.

Volume traded is half of what was transacted the past 2 days respectively. Shows that the IBs' tickets are thinning out, but do expect them to keep some for another 1-2 surprise falls these few days. Should pick up buying momentum after that

Just observe HY and Petronm, its always a similar pattern up or down. Obviously someone is playing these 2 around

I can only laugh at all these TA traders who come and leave comments, which I believe most who did not buy or hold any, and not knowing the background and fundamentals of the stocks, ie HY here for instance

Sometimes you have to use your common sense and wonder, what are these commenters who have no interest or share whatsoever in a stock, always leaving negative comments indicating that the stock would drop and drop to a certain low price without any sound reasoning. Working for the IB, trying to create more panic selling to cover your losses for issuing the CWs?
