I wanted to give this the benefit of the doubt, since I got friends who are invested in this, and their entry price was above RM1.13. Now after looking at the websites shared by others (block7investments and efire)...sad to say la. Don't look legit at all...unclickable links...very limited info on the websites...overall bad presentation..

EPF should really look into this and salvage as much as they can.

Business wise, it's a good decision. Companies closing down all over the world. If they proceed with the purchase, they'd have to carry a heavy load (paying staffs, materials) for a market that is dwindling down (industrial gloves)

Leutan, personally I'm against consolidation. It's opening up room for 'financially sick companies' to reduce no of shares to raise funds again and again via issuance of new shares.

We are in a very rare era. Glove companies are making profits like crazy.

Kwsp, trust funds have not entered AT yet. Once AT performed, and these big guys enter, the 3 bill+ shares will be swooped easily

Why should AT consolidate if future prospect is good?

We know where AAX and NETX are at financially. These 2 companies have no solid recovery plan at the moment.

An example:

Topglove is at 8bill shares.

I don't want to compare with Topg since Topglove is a giant. But just to clarify my idea. Imagine Topg want to consolidate simply because they have too many shares. The price will not be accessible to a lot of people.

As for Mahsing, I like their updates too. But have to admit they are in a very wobbly industry. These updates serve as investor relation and catalyst for price movement.

My opinion on why AT doesn't update as often as Mahsing is because they cannot afford to have their price move too much yet. They still got a 100mill++ PP to offer. Mahsing got capital to spend straightaway.

Aiya...got people not knowing AT venturing into gloves still :P ?

If they really intend to purchase, then, I would also assume they want to avoid/delay any catalyst that would push the price up beyond their control to maintain lower PP price until PP is completed. Hence the extension.

oskchoon, at the moment, I don't think there's any that I can spot. I mean, they've told us what they want to do. And they are doing it.

Price is really controlled and retailers can't do much really, other than collect and hold.

I would suggest AT to be more frequent and more specific in announcements though.

Wah, too many assumptions. I thought I want to be a silent reader and silently collect. But let me correct a few.

1) Unlimited PP - not unlimited, but UP TO 795,924,000 shares . Up until today, 400 mill new shares from PP has been issued. at a price of less than 0.07. So we got roughly another 395 mill shares.

PP will be issued in UP TO 5 tranches. 2 tranches done.

2 tranches = 400 mill. The second tranche 230 mill. Another 30 million, they probably still trying to get buyer.

Don't expect price to surge until all has been issued.

Why? Because if I were one of those guys approached by AT to buy the PP, I want it to be at the lowest risk to me. Especially with the current economic climate globally, so many things can happen.

So how? Using whatever mechanism, AT will have to control the market price at a certain level that is fair to them, and earlier PP purchasers and still very enticing to future PP buyers.

Like inoutking mentioned before, for PP buyers, investing RM14 million and get 200 million units is much more enticing than investing RM14 million and get half of that.

Assuming in one year, AT price jump to RM1, 200 million units easily valued at RM200 million.

2) Currently we see high volume traded so that it will generate meaningful volume that allows the day's average price be taken into account for PP price calculation. That's it. So don't go in expecting short term burst even to 0.08 per unit.

Use money you don't need to collect the shares. Currently warrant at 0.05, mother at 0.07. 10k units will cost less than RM1k.

3) PGSB - personally I am not happy with the RM22mill price tag. If you've been involved with company formation, approvals, etc you should know. I am hoping they'll get a better deal within this extended time.

If you want expertise, you can probably 'steal' their current experts and offer double pay. If you project their salary for 5 years, won't probably even reach 5 million in 5 years time.

But this is my personal opinion lah. A very simplified one.

In conclusion, don't just read charts and then assume too much. Malaysian market is easily manipulated.

I trust that AT will become a glove manufacturer. I don't know when price will go up but at the moment am still collecting. I don't expect it to go up anytime soon.

Don't follow me. Read all the prospectus they released, do own observations.

The good thing about this announcement is, the AGM is next Monday. To me, they are giving investors the opportunity to ask them about their situation.

So, if you are worried about your investment, please attend and voice your concern.

Personally, I am not too worried because I know the Chemor plant will operate. But I am speaking from a position where I don't need the money from this anytime soon.

As for the extension, it's not that long. Assuming the due diligence is satisfactory, they are probably waiting for PP money. Hence the controlled price these few weeks. I could be wrong though.

Menort, since we got time until Muhyiddin's speech, I'll entertain you.

1) PGSB doesn't produce medical gloves. AT has plans for them.

But as others have pointed out, Ripcol is specialized in making machines that produce medical gloves which meet international requirements. So I am not too bothered by this.

I want to see the results of their due diligence for PGSB though. Will it be worth the RM22 mil price point?

2) Chemor plant acquisition requires Perak State Authority Approval. Should be completed within 3 months. They've already started working on the production lines so I would say they are optimist.

At the moment I don't see anything that might hinder the Perak state from giving AT the green light, unless, the current political issues come into the scene. AT is bringing employment opportunities to Perakians especially those near the area. But who knows.

3) Others say AEMHB is a part of the glove manufacturing machines plan, maybe. I am not too happy with this. But we'll see.

PP should be completed within this year.

As long as they keep going with the glove plans, I'll hold. A good chance for them to do honest, profitable business as well.

Inoutking, exactly, the whole bursa will be affected. Muhyiddin's speech can't come soon enough!
