@fong7, don't forget that Malton hit high of RM1.7 before, like last year or 2 years back....if the big shareholder or big bankers want to suppress the price, what can small investor like us do? WE can only ride with them

hi txfs, if it is going partial stake sale, does it mean Malton will continue to have sizable shares in BJ Pavilion, and that Malton get to earn recurrence stable income through BJ Pavilion rental?

KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 15): AllianceDBS Research said Malton Bhd (Malton) had on Aug 14 traded higher to 65 sen before closing near the day’s high at 64.5 sen (up 1 sen or 1.57%).
In its evening edition yesterday, the research house said Malton continued to trade above the 20-day (blue) and 50-day (red) moving average lines.
“Following the up close on Aug 14, the stock is likely to move higher with immediate hurdle at 66.5 sen.
“A crossover of 66.5 sen should see further price rise to the next overhead resistance zone, 70 sen – 71 sen.
“The support is pegged at 61 sen. A fall below 61 sen would put pressure on the stock down to the subsequent support zone, 56 sen – 57 sen,” it said.
AllianceDBS Research said stock volume traded on Aug 14 was 3.27 million shares compared to the 3-month average volume of 7.13 million shares.

There are many ways to rate Malton. Give PER5 of it's historical earning, should rate the company close to rm1. The sale of BJ pav will be added bonus.

TQ 叶子. That means 1600mil/528mil = RM3 potential special cash payout per share. However, Tan Sri will most likely use part of the money to pay for borrowings, and for future working capital. Let's discuss to quantify this together

I just dig out an old news circa 2011. Year 2011, Tan Sri DL injected pavilion KL and paviion tower into pavreit. In return Tan Sri received cash ~rm700mil and PAVreit shares worth ~rm900mil. Fast forward today let's assume BJ Pavilion today worth 25% of 2011 pavilion KL + PAVILION tower, that's means worth rm400mil. Each makton share has upside of ~75cents! Like what txfs always reminded us, that BJ PAVILION is currently virtually free for us. It will be price in sooner or later!

uptrending, what is the mandatory take over shareholding %?
I search online not sure this is the latest info:
"As before, a MO shall apply where the acquirer has obtained control in a company or where the acquirer has triggered the creeping threshold. An offeror triggers the creeping threshold by acquiring more than 2% of the voting rights of a target in any period of six months where the offeror’s holding was more than 33% but less than 50% of the voting rights in the target."

Good insight from all, what can we expect today from Malton?
2018-08-13 21:03 | Report Abuse
If PAVREIT paid Malton RM100mil in exchange for BJ Pavilion, and with Malton 528.14m shares in market, that translate into 19cents upside per Malton share :) How much is BJ Pavilion worth actually? I remember txfs or uptrending mentioned BJ Pav could worth RM250mil? that is close to 50cents upside for Malton share :)

what type of special dividends can we expect for this deal? :) can't wait to see. Could be in the form of special dividends paid directly to your bank account, or maybe some bonus PAVREIT shares for you? Also, don't forget if you keep longer till end of Oct, or early Nov, you'll get about 4 to 4.7% of annual dividends per today's price.

good sharing uptrending. Hope everything turn out well. Let's give it a worst PE of 5 using trailing earning... And we know that un-bill sales once factored in, its EPS will only grow.

If putting shopping mall aside, counting on two income property and construction only, it should be rated higher PE.

yes, and look for longer terms, even if in future Malton is to inject Pavilion BJC into PavREIT, Malton share holders, you and I, shall receive some handsome dividends out of it.

for a different thought, if Malton intend to inject BJC into PAVREIT, it will create a big one time windfall profits/special dividends for Malton share holders. This is another route that Malton can do. Any thoughts?

@nemesis, I think Pavilion BJC mid term wise won't match mid valley popularity. However population at Klang valley will only grow. By 2020 estimated will be 10mil population. Need to disperse the crowd to different part of Klang valley....hope BJC can serve as one of the important catchment
