Maybank dropped the drip recently because their stock price was too high and they believed proposing drip will definitely fail to attract subscribers. This practice is being implemented by Maybank and cimb. Where Public Bank, Hong Leong, Alliance seldom have drip. For long-term investors we don't really bother by flautution of shares price as yearly dividend are enough to make up the losses. And bash down price will eventually recover in times. Beside bank now set up reserves over 40 billion to cover bad loans. Yeah banking industry nowadays are more resilient during turbulent times.
