The proposed development to be built on the land measuring 6.06 acres, is expected to have a gross development value of RM2.1bil.

JAKARTA: Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd (FGV) is poised to be the first local exporter of oil palm seeds to Indonesia next year.

This is made possible via FGV’s latest partnership with Indonesia group PT Mitra Agro Servindo (PT Mas) through an memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed here yesterday.

The plantation conglomerate had recently secured the licence to commercially market its award-winning Felda Yangambi DxP ML161 planting material from Indonesia’s Plant Varieties and Release Council.

“FGV is targeting to export one million seeds starting next year,” said FGV head cluster of research and development and agri services Syed Salim Syed Ali.








“We also want to raise the export to five million seeds by 2020,” he told the Malaysian media covering the Yangambi DXP ML161 launch and MoU signing ceremony.

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian palm oil futures rose for a second consecutive session, supported by concerns about lower output despite a weaker performance by rival vegetable oils on Thursday evening.

Benchmark palm oil futures for January on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange rose 0.6 percent to 2,774 ringgit ($663) a tonne at the end of the trading day.
