Fair Value of Keck Seng is easily 11RM/ share after marking to market their land and hotel investments. Keck Seng is also in a net net cash position with 500RM MILLION EXCESS CASH

Looking at the volume ytd, there was a shakeout and alot of those who bought at $6 were selling out. Whoever is the market maker is now in control of those shares and they can ramp the price up to $10 without selling pressure because weak holders have all been taken out

Distributing excess cash is easy but the best way to boost investor's interest is the issuance of bonus stock to bring up the trading price to the NAV of the company and improve trading liquidity

I think there would be a special dividend for this year due to the exceptional gain. My estimate would be a special 10sen a share in addition to the usual dividend declared last year. This will bring the total dividends for Oriental this year to 50sen a share or 7% dividend yield

Oriental is due to release results TOMORROW AFTER MARKET CLOSE

There is a new DMO policy in place. Oriental will still remain profitable but I dont expect much growth on the plantation side. This is where the profits from the automobile and Hospitality will come in to boost oriental further.

Remember that inflation now enables oriental to sell their cars, bikes and engines at a much higher price and consumers are still buying thanks to a stronger malaysian economy

Minority shareholders should table a resolution to payout 50sen a share in special dividends as the company is holding excess cash on their balance sheets which is not necessary for the operation of their business

Keck seng needs a big time operator to goreng up the stock, I have noticed the stock price is controlled. the liquidity is artificial and the management is unfriendly.

Shareholders need to band together and form a voting block of 10% of the company shares and requisition for an EGM under S144 of the companies act following the procedures guided by S144(2) of the companies act

I think with regards to privatisation, its not going to happen because that would change the shareholding structure of the family. This may cause certain family members to hold more shares than others and could disrupt the family dynamics which public investors are not privy to

The best way forward for all shareholders is for management to issue bonus shares which would be proportionate to their shareholdings and would not disrupt the shareholding balance of the insiders.

I urge everyone here to write in to the IR to let them know that company management is accountable to the shareholders and they must note shareholders concern and treat it with respect

I have send an email to Oriental IR with the following suggestions but have yet to receive a reply. I will continue sending them emails daily until a satisfactory response is achieved

The management can unlock value in many ways

1) Spin out the Automative business and list Kah motors as a seperate entity
2) Spin out the Hospitality business and form a REIT
3) GIVE BONUS ISSUE OF SHARES FRANKED OUT FROM RETAINED EARNINGS

I urge ALL SHAREHOLDERS HERE TO WRITE IN TO THE MANAGMENT AND DEMAND THEY DO A BONUS ISSUE OF SHARES!

Its extremely unlikely that the company will unwind the loans despite the significant accounting gain. But from a prudent view, they should at least pare down some JPY loans to take advantage of the currency depreciation. maybe 1B?
