KUALA LUMPUR (March 26): Vivocom Intl Holdings Bhd has teamed up with Shanghai Civil Engineering Group Co Ltd (CREC Shanghai) to explore opportunities in property development, mixed development, infrastructure, water treatment plant and other development projects.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Vivocom said its subsidiary Vivocom Enterprise Sdn Bhd (VESB) has entered into a Heads of Agreement (HoA) with CREC Shanghai for the purpose.

"The parties are desirous to work together and collaborate for the purpose of procuring such development and construction projects and is desirous in entering into this agreement to record the general arrangement to define and regulate the relationship between the parties in relation to the business collaboration," it added.

Vivocom said VESB will act as CREC Shanghai’s sole and exclusive project management consultant for all projects within Malaysia.

Once a project is determined, VESB will finance the cost and outlay by way of the internal funds and/or bank borrowings, it added.

"Project cost and financial benefits derived from the proposed collaboration cannot be ascertained at this point of time. Barring unforeseen circumstances, the proposed collaboration is expected to contribute positively to the future earnings of Vivocom," it said.

Vivocom shares closed unchanged at 7 sen today, with 1.19 million shares traded, bringing it a market capitalisation of RM237.91 million.

截至10时35分，该股跌1仙，至盘中最低8仙，达3430万800股易手，是第四大热门。

怡丰国际昨日公布，截至去年12月杪2017财政年全年净利从5390万令吉，跌至1459万令吉；营业额为1亿8173万令吉，低于2016财年的3亿6503万令吉。

KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 28): Vivocom International Holdings Bhd posted a net loss of RM2.64 million for the fourth quarter ended Dec 31, 2017 (4QFY17), compared with a net profit of RM821,000 a year earlier, due to the provision of doubtful debts totalling RM5.93 million under its telecommunications segment.

Quarterly revenue dropped 27.59% to RM33.31 million from RM46.01 million, Vicocom said in a filing with the stock exchange today.

The group said the telco segment contributed RM1.03 million of the total group revenue, against RM13.74 million a year ago, due to lower work orders received and the delay in award and implementation of the next phase of the universal service provision (USP) project under the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission.

For the cumulative 12-month period, Vivocom’s net profit slumped 72.92% to RM14.59 million, from RM53.90 million in FY16. Revenue fell 50.21% to RM181.73 million, from RM365.03 million.

The group said its aluminium segment's revenue in FY17 increased by 14.25% to RM51.95 million from RM45.47 million in FY16, thanks to higher project wins and roll-outs during the year.

However, the construction division’s revenue fell 60.08% to RM107.36 million from RM268.95 million, due to the aggressive roll-out of projects under the “to clear the backlogs” in FY16, as compared with 2017 which had slower progress billings.

Going forward, Vivocom said it has been awarded numerous projects for the aluminum and construction segment, which will keep the group busy for the next two to three years.

“In view of these positive developments and the group strong order book, barring any unforeseen circumstances, the board is optimistic of achieving a satisfactory performance for the next financial year ending Dec 31, 2018,” Vivocom said.

Vivocom’s share price closed 0.5 sen or 5.26% lower at 9 sen today with 2.64 million shares traded, giving it a market capitalisation of RM322.88 million.

VIVOCOM公司发文告表示，买卖双方是在10月13日订立不具法律约束力之指示性条款书，并在90天独家期限内执行最终协议，但在1月11日届满时，并未达致任何协议，如今同意延长

吉隆坡26日訊）大馬銜接鐵道公司（MRL）指出，共有1118家企業參與競標東海岸鐵道計劃（ECRL）的土木工程。



根據文告，東海岸鐵道計劃在10月15日至23日于吉蘭丹、登嘉樓、彭亨和雪蘭莪州舉行路演（roadshow），期間共接獲1118家企業參與該項目資格預審的申請。

大馬銜接鐵道公司總執行長達維斯指出，申請者必須是擁有國家建築工業發展局（CIDB）G3至G7級別，且經驗丰富的本地承包商；同時，必須在中小企業增強競爭評級（SCORE）的評級測量中，獲得最少兩顆星。
