This counter not as bad as SONA, got cash but no concession to work. All top management but late reply from SC all goes down to drain as Ophir buying into Salamander this early morning. What I would like to see in Suma QR was its progress in opening up existing oil well and its production as oil prices is beyond their control.

(Nov 24): Sona Petroleum Bhd., a company with no assets or track record, won approval from the Malaysian Securities Commission to buy a stake in two Thai oil and gas blocks, a person with knowledge of the matter said.

The so-called blank check company targets to complete the deal by the end of this year after getting shareholder approvals, the person said, asking not to be identified as the details aren’t yet public. Sona, which raised 550 million ringgit ($164 million) in an initial public offering last year, agreed in June to buy 40% of London-based Salamander Energy Plc’s assets in the Gulf of Thailand for $281 million.

The Salamander assets would be the first for Sona since its listing and pave the way for the Kuala Lumpur-based company to become an independent upstream oil and gas company. To complete the purchase, it will need to overcome African explorer Ophir Energy Plc’s offer to acquire Salamander on the condition it doesn’t sell the Thai assets.

Saw Choo Boon, vice president of business development at Sona, declined to comment when contacted by phone today. Malaysia’s Securities Commission head of corporate affairs Jaya Menon could not be immediately reached for comment when contacted on her mobile and office.

Owners of a 25.9% stake in Salamander have agreed to accept the Ophir offer and reject the Sona deal, according to today’s filing.

Sona is trying to buy a stake in the Bualuang oilfield, which has been operating since 2008 and is expected to produce an average of 11,000 to 14,000 barrels of oil daily this year, according to Salamander’s website. It would also gain an interest in an nearby exploration concession.

To make a wise decision need a good indicator for the right timing to enter otherwise yr money wl sleep wth the counter forever. There are some counters that oversold but nobody cares. Didnt enter ifca because I need a thick book like suma to read like Harry Porter.

I'm not like others that like to look for scapegoat when market is bad and quick to stand up when market is going to recover based on oversold chart but suma still drifting down until one guy here confidently pointed that it wl be red last few days and green as told by him today. His direction was not bad for me as novice here. I like this counter as there are still a lot of story that wl be unfolded.

When market closed all sorts of stmt to connect them wth daily movement not that before or during trade hours. Only one guy here that brave enough to tell suma movement and I consider him 'The Market Mover'. I bot in some at 32 this morning.

As an observer before buying sumatec recently. I hd a feeling that HS wl proved himself right again.
1. Looking back at first RI he said he wl use the money to pay Sumatec debt, chg this counter to O&G by buying Raku Oil field, register profit and take it out of PN17 is done. Although a lot of sceptical and negative voices. This counter moved from 17 to 80 then after RI frm 30-60 and out of PN17 less than a week after submission of latest 2QR.
2. Last sept announce second RI to use to buy second oil field that with more proven oil reserved is needed wth price of 40 with objective to generate profit of RM1 bil on 2018 onwards. Same a lot of sceptics and negative voices but interesting to watch how they wl move the price. Like one of old timer said that Sumatec wl get the BE no matter what as the giant ( I dont know what) was at their door step. Could the approval and they wl boost the price around nxt week?..

Maybe he cant hv a good sleep holding sumatec shares even for one day. If he sold it last friday at 33 sure he make a bit money
