The country is heading in the right direction?

Racial polarization is getting worse. Religious fanaticism is escalating. The economy is getting sicker. The Harapan hope for New is Msia for peninsularians and borneans is diminishing and is almost irrelevant.

But that senile, selfish old man who wants nothing but power is still there refusing to step down, doing really nothing to improve the country - zero unity under the concept of embracing pluralism and mastering English as the global language for business, science and technology.

How can the other half of the population say that the country is heading in the right direction?

With never ending discriminatory policies and practices of every form openly and covertly, and the promotion of fundamentalism-and millennium-old-delusion-first, would not make the environment conducive to the attraction of talent and investment to benefit the country, but would only overdrive braindrain and outflow of $$$$$

It is very interesting that the local politicians on both sides of the divide are always obsessed with easy money, sex and sodomy, and neither getting committed to talk about economy , education system, unemployment and welfare of the Rakyat on a need basis; nor realizing in meritocracy so that best are chosen to run the country.

Insanity is when leaders who put all the wrong people with wrong mentality, ability and passion in key positions, and expect the economy to improve..........

....and expecting these civil servants to 'guide' the people out of poverty.

The leaders fail to create a corrupt-free, competent, committed and professionally neutral civil service to enable effective implementation of government policies on addressing poverty-related matters.

The one thing a government coalition ought to project is inner unity. Even if it is not the case, a country needs to be able to look at its leaders and see a united front fighting for their best interests. But when it comes to Pakatan Harapan, this is far from the case.

Our new government has already disappointed their people with their race politicking, their inability to curb economic stagnation, and their failure to stick to their promises. The least they could do is give us hope that they are working together for a better future.(Adam Tan)
