Thanks for your advice Sammmy. Believe you are right. There may not be that many contra players selling I too was wondering whether it could be the old guards as volume very high. Only old guards will have that no of shares. Like you cannot figure out what is the end game.
as shared by KuaTaktahu's NST article of VC on board control, the 4 parties control about 65 of total shares. on surface all have about the same % of shareholding and any further accumulation of shares will result in higher share price.it appears that there is a blockage to prevent further share price from going up.i guess is unlikely that they are blocking one another which will eventually dilute their shareholding. I believe could be another party or players trying to come in to accumulate and play. hope the above make sense
without IDSS, those who want to block must use actual shares and have the a lots of them. Guess among those 5 largest shareholders, who is actually trying to prevent the takeover?
Yes Sammmy. It’s the old guards. Only they have that number of shares. Strategy to keep on throwing to exhaust Dato’s resources. May backfire if Dato have deep pockets and financial arrangements already in place for RTO. Will gain control of VC cheap.
The strategy to block the price might not work and it may backfire them. At 8s, it cost only 80k for 1 mill shares or rm 8 mill for 100 mill share which should be well within Dato financial capability. If let say no one is buying, they have to buy back to ensure the price does not drop and make it cheaper for Dato to buy and this will make them losers.
Another strategy is to push up the price higher to make it expensive for Dato to buy and to force Dato to quit the race altogether.
there is a limit to the price drop otherwise it is cheaper for Dato. With cash of 50 mill plus, the company is a dream for both sides. They can easily recover the losses by declaring the special dividend later.
Unless, the current price has benefited them enough? But is this possible? Anyone hav any idea how they could have earned enough from this current price
It does not look like pressing down but basically to shake out the weak holders in the backdrop of DJ weakness yesterday. The BB are controlling it and accumulate the shares before next push up. it looks ok to me unless DJ continue to show weakness and the BB's game plan change
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
