Sephirth, it said 22 .5 sen dividend. Then one has to net the 25% tax so investors get less than 22 .5 sen, right?

MBB claims to have an independent BOD, not politically influenced. That was during the Wahid days. Today was just reporting of result and declaration of dividend. He was expected to answer critics about the sales of 6% BII shares below purchase price, and also about the BNM ruling. Nothing mentioned.
Hope he is not another errand boy grateful to the masters and forgetting those who actually pay his gaji and elaun.

Maybank dividen is under DIVIDEN REINVESTMENT PLAN...
Thats mean every 22cents u got will be converted into new shares with prices to be determine later...
Let say RM8 new issue price then RM8÷RM0.22/share=36.36 shares need to be convert into new shares...

Lower GDP as expected. At least the current acc is not in deficit. Don't think there will be bloodbath tomorrow. After the result announced at 4.15pm, MBB didn't drop, in fact went up a few sens.
X date for dividend will be after calculation for DRP, probably announce early Sep.
