i do understand the insurer of mh370. i even look on their policies. if the passenger all dead, the insurer have to pay 0.5mil. nothing big deal. but im sure mas do buy insurance for his plane. if the plane crash, that could be big money.
from travel policies, personal liabilities is upto 1.5mil per person (that's a scary part). if all survive, medical claim wont be that much i think.
right now pm announced not natural disaster. at least a good news for the insurer on the plane.
all figure above is based on the premium insurance package. it is a default selection when u purchase the ticket online. (RM42), for passenger insurance only 2 company, etiqa and cover-more (from Australia)
if the investor calculate it, the incident actually not that horrible. but the uncertainty of the investor mind is the caused.
