Recently the major shareholder of Eurospan made an Unconditional Mandatory General Offer at RM1.70. The offer closed last Friday. Today the Company announced a special dividend of 20 sen. I expect Thong to mirror this by first exercising sufficient warrants at 90 sen to cross 50% shareholding and launch an Unconditional Mandatory General Offer. As soon as the offer closed Insas would declare a special dividend of 35 sen to relieve Thong's personal financial burden.

Thong after exercising his warrants to cross 50% shareholding would increase total shares in issue beyond 900 million. Assuming an enlarged share capital of 1 billion shares, a special dividend of 35 sen would require payout of RM350 million and some cash is also required to redeem some preference shares. This is one reason why Insas is hoarding cash.

Great Eastern Holdings has announced that profit attributable to shareholders registered an increase of 34% y-o-y in 1HFY2024 to $587.1 millioin, driven by higher profit from insurance business and favourable investment performance in shareholders’ fund.

Insas owns Great Eastern through OCBC Bank. Insas has over RM1,000,000,000 CASH. Insas owns and control Inari. Insas involved in supply of Data Centre equipment. Insas soooooooo deeply undervalued trading at huge 80% discount. Why Insas closed down 2 sen today?
