Why did MPI go down as much as 3.1%? Is it due to the recent Unisem's bad QR? Or is it for profit takig from the recent rebound?

If other semiconductor stocks are bullish, MPI will go up as well.

MPI-CH have 35M share issue in the market. Currently trade at 1.5 cents. I just bought 1M at 1.5 cents total 15K. I assume total loss this money which expired on 29 June 2018 another 4 months to go with conversation 13cw+ RM13.50. Currently semiconductor dealing hot cake in Nasdaq. MPI trade below RM10 may strike 100% return if MPI above RM10++. Let wait and see. High risk high return.

PHLX Semiconductor index 1380.27 +29.18 (+2.16%)
it was up for last 3 trading session. Dow Jones +400 points up because of Nasaq too according to Bloomberg. I watch the news with excitement thinking of MPI-CH.
We support mothers shares too for those we bought. Some fund manager said target RM10.97 ( TA) some wrote in October and November last years said target RM13.50.

But world economy is getting excited on Automobile semiconductor

KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 19): The semiconductor sector is expected to record an 8% net profit growth in 2018 on higher radio frequency (RF) component shipment volume, according to CIMB IB Research

He expects the demand for RF components to continue to outgrow the demand for smartphones, due to higher RF filter requirements to support additional frequency bands.

This bodes well for Inari Amertron Bhd, Malaysia Pacific Industries Bhd (MPI) and Unisem Bhd, as they are contract manufacturers for direct intellectual property owners like Broadcom Ltd, Qorvo Inc and Skyworks Solutons Inc,” Mohd Shanaz said.

Meanwhile, the automotive and industrial segments are new growth drivers, with researcher McKinsey & Co projecting automotive semiconductor demand to post 2015-2020F CAGR of 6%, higher than the overall industry CAGR of 3-4%, he added.

McKinsey expects growth to be driven by higher vehicle sales and rising electronic content in vehicles, while IHS Markit forecasts electronic content value to rise from US$312 per car in 2013 to US$460 in 2022F due to increasing safety, comfort and connectivity requirements.

“We see KESM Industries Bhd and Malaysia Pacific Industries Bhd as exciting proxies for automotive semiconductors, given their experience in the segment,” Mohd Shanaz added

Today i top up another 1M MPI-CH for 1 cents at average price 1.25 cents.... total 2M call warrant in my hand and total 33M in the market I guess call warrant issuer AMbank also want to collect back this call warrant in the market at low as possible in case MPI crazy shooting up over the value conversion price. Who know since Semiconductor stock is so hot dealing in Nasdaq now could it be separate to Malaysia bursa. MPI higher record RM55 in 1998 when whole world crazy with semiconductor share. I wait and see...
