(1) sometime we have to play the safety margin to protect our profit. We have to put some moving target in-case the analyst revise their target. Retailer like us have to based on analyst report to make judgement. Unless you are working or insider of MPI.

(2) QFN, QFP ..... whatever term you use .... still come back to packaging. (or in layman terms .... construction) . use different material, different hardware tools put package it into a small box. There is nothing special about this engineering. Nothing to hu .. ha about it.

If you say , wafer produced in wafer fab technology , example siltera, than i say that is really a technology

Wow...then mpi can close shop d. .package need to consider thermal effect..smaller ic means u need to make the chip to perform higher in smaller size...
anyway..obviously u dislike mpi business nature..so..pls don't ask ppl to sell wen you don't even understand this company

To invest in a company, please do not only look into what their business only. Most important are the management of the company; if they know how to diversified and aware of global market trend. Even downtrend of the industry, they will also survive and generate profit.
I believe MPI did a great job during downtrend of semiconductor business; MPI is one of the most fastest semiconductor company when back uptrend. If shorterm investor, yes no doubt they have to lock profit. But for longterm investor, you may want to see how far MPI can go on. It is one of the company that giving me 100% profit within 2-2.5 years. I won't said this is the best, but it didn't fail me.
We are here to share, there's no right or wrong. As long as you earn profit, it is good enough :)

this share has lost the leg already. Cannot go up anymore. No strength to climb. Lost momentum already. I monitor every second and every day on their trade.
I don;t think the analyst will revise the target anymore as there is no more catalyst . The US dollar in downtrend,. You can see the glove industry and the plantation industry also affected. Why you all still don't believe on it and still keep on dreaming. Wake up.

LCD , LED and all this stuff is old technology . Hewlett packard (HP) penang have been producing LED in 1990s but have to outsource to Hana semiconductor in bangkok b;cos of thin margin. After that HP penang sell all their assembly plant to agilent technology. Then agilent technology sold the assembly line (producing led) again to another company. You can see that all the mnc do not want to produce this thin margin product and outsource to subcontract like mpi and unisem.

So all the stuff you talking about is a dinosour product.
The only think i can see improve in technology is software development where india is famous with having talented manpower in this. Microsoft and Nokia CEO is indian.

Hardware still go back to outsource as it is cheap and need more manpower to do (example MPI and unisem). So don;t put too much hope on MPI.

Haha...Jolie amatuer...just pick and pluck news available in market. Intel lost, then whole technology market affected? This is naive and stupid statement. Like our politicians. Intel is not even able to penetrate into mobile sector. They cant beat qualcomm. Outplayed, That is why companies related to Intel such as HDD, memory, etc are losing out. Those companies like Gtronic, MPI that is related to mobile had increase.

Oh, silly Jolie. Intel down, all down..this is budak kecik statement...sorry I have to talk like a kid to a kid.

Semi-plantation: KFima(losing $), MKH(good profit so far).

It is exciting to follow this counter here n I have been reading all the comments since half a yr ago. Very cheerful to see steady uptrend with just nice volume to support without being issued UMA by Bursa. Have been watching it since 2 years ago n bought in last yr Dec when the bull starts running! N I had again achieved my 100% target while still holding it to see next quarterly results before making my decision to dispose it. I see no news being good news for MPI by following the market increasing demand for semi-con. Not sure how long can this mid tech cycle last but will closely monitor especially there are many expert analysts here! Let's hooray tgt!

I think, Basic still intact, main concern is the coming quarterly results, i found this normal up n down for every stock movement. N to kill off some contra player or very short term player, a warning to them as a good gem is to invest to see value grow instead of speculation. Agree?

“該公司放眼新產品在未來2至5年內替營業額作出15%貢獻，這是一項正面驚喜。考量該公司的明確成長策略、盈利能見度轉好等因素，我們對公司展望更具信心。”

聯昌補充，截至今年首4個月，全球半導體銷售按年成長10.9%，亞太、歐洲和美洲地區銷售明顯復甦，加上訂單出貨比穩定在1至1.06倍之間，這暗示領域需求將健康成長。

股價漲70%
仍有上漲空間

有鑑於此，聯昌上調馬太平洋2015和2016財政年每股盈利預測15%至20%，主要因相信來年盈利表現將持續走強。

“雖然該股股價今年至今大漲70%，但我們認為股價還有上漲空間，因該公司產品組合及營運效率也同步改善中。”

安聯星展研究亦相信馬太平洋未來3年業績將在持續成長，歸功於賺幅改善和新產品提供成長動力，對該股前景保持正面。

“我們相信，賺幅改善和新產品貢獻將帶領未來業績成長，而這將同時推高馬太平洋估值的上升空間。”

達證券指出，中國業務未來可能成為馬太平洋的業績成長動力，因管理層放眼將蘇州業務的銷售比重，從目前約20%提昇至40%，並且有意將單一客戶的貢獻比重壓低在15%以內，以多元化風險。

“業務部門而言，馬太平洋焦點依然會放在智能手機和平版電腦、汽車和網絡相關項目上，近期崛起的小米、華為、聯想（Lenovo）等公司，預料刺激中低等級智能手機需求，讓馬太平洋受惠。”
