Sunreit trading play at 1.68 to 1.75.

Dividend yield at 5.54% for rolling 4 quarters (total dividend of RM0.0959 and closing share price of RM1.73). NTA based on malaysia stock biz is RM1.407 (representing share price at a premium of 23% above NTA). There are far many reits with better yield and reasonable NTA than Sunreit. Overpriced for its brand name.

Hi Kieff,

You don't have to pay any tax on that as the dividend already taxed 10% upfront. It is non-taxable on our hand.

For example:
"Second Income Distribution of 2.38 sen per unit (of which 1.94 sen per unit is taxable and 0.38 sen per unit is non-taxable and 0.06 sen per unit is tax exempt) for the second quarter ended 31 December 2017"

Above is the latest dividend payout detail. Below is the calculation on how much you can get:

1.94sen taxable(tax 10%, so you will get 90% of this portion)
: 1.94 x 90% = 1.746
0.38sen non-taxable: 0.38 x 100% = 0.38
0.06sen tax exempt : 0.06 x 100% = 0.06

Total receive dividend = 1.746 + 0.38 + 0.06 = 2.186sen
If you have 1000 unit of Sunreit, then you total dividend for the quarter is 2.186sen x 1000 = 2186sen / 100 = RM 21.86
