Lets relook what have said by all parties involve in current water impasse, interesting to take note that Azmin is very smart trying to downplaying its roles in blocking the deal. Lets see whether what he promise to resolve 'beberapa isu kecil yang tertangguh' and 'dijangka muktamad after meeting 6.30 pm with Ongkili yesterday with indeed yield positive outcome.....so far, no further update yet on whether the meeting indeed held yesterday or whether there is any solution...


1. Selangor MB Azmin: "Saya rasa kita sudah hampir untuk memuktamadkan beberapa isu kecil yang tertangguh," ...Azmin jumpa Maximus kali ke-2, perjanjian air dijangka muktamad ...

2. Deputy Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid said he hoped the Selangor government would give priority to the water restructuring process and agree to the proposals made by the federal government.

3. Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Dr Maximus Ongkili saidthe restructuring exercise could not be fully resolved yet following the Selangor government's failure to fulfill the conditions in the master agreement signed between the state government and federal government. In fact, the Selangor government had deferred the gazetting of the remaining 23 plots of land applied for acquisition by the federal government for the project, he added.

4. Puncak chairman Rozali said it hoped there would be no further extension of time of the stop date of the agreement after the Ramadan month to dispose its assets to the state. “If the matter is still unresolved, PNHB will be left with no choice but to invoke its legal rights to rescind the SPA (sale and purchase agreement) with Air Selangor and both PNSB and Syabas will have to recommence their ongoing legal suits.....

Selangor Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali said he is confident that the state's water restructuring exercise will be resolved in two weeks time.

He said after a meeting with Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili yesterday, both Selangor and Putrajaya managed to reach a consensus over issues pertaining to the agreement which included the takeover of land and asset.

"We had a good meeting. Both parties agree to seal the deal in the nearest time," he said in Shah Alam this morning. – June 12, 2015.

Beginning of June, I am very bullist on Puncak bcoz All politicans told me Azmin will let Restructuring Go. He needs to concentrate on Saving Pakatan. Without Pas, Azmin's political
career is Over ( bearing in mind Azmin's aim is not MB but the next PM )
Suddenly joint statements from Ongkili and Rozali just knocked my socks off.
Now back to square one again--collecting at 2.60

hng33, if the deal go through, Selangor government will pay 1.55 billion to Puncak, right? what about the debt 4.97billion that state government owe? Sekali gus? or after that?

thanks superspeculator, but i wonder, if the deal is not through, yea PNSB would not get the 1.55b, but if the court case is win by PNSB, Selangor government need to pay 4.97b to PNSB, isn't that much more than 1.55b and help their cash flow? Can you help me to understand it?

Selangor is buying over PNSB and 70% Syabas from Puncak for 1.55B. The debt of 4.97B is owed to PNSB (the creditor). So, after PNSB is bought over by Selangor, Selangor no need to pay 4.97B dy coz PNSB (the creditor) now belongs to Selangor.

annchua, that's the reason why Puncak did not want to accept the deal in the past and resulted in the delay of restructuring of more than 6 years. in short, over the past 6 years, the state and federal keep pujuk Puncak to accept the deal. finally, puncak is willing to concede but the state and the federal now banyak pattern
