The Edge is too eager to publish the report, they should delay atleast to this friday. I have no choice but to buy also bcoz the price will be too high to get in again.
The deal is still Go bcoz The Sultan was briefed by Azmin. My remisier has executed the
sell order for a few Big Contra players bcoz they had bought at a much earlier date.
But they are buying back soon.
Price didn't drop in Engtex & KPS but Up (bcoz no contra buyers)

Roger. My source said exco is contemplating on some finer details and not the main issue(already
agreed between Azmin/Ong) So any idea what details they are talking about???
Now it is quite difficult to get Ong/Azmin to meet again bcoz " Ong vested interest" are all gone.

Selangor water restructuring deal set to be finalised



SHAH ALAM: The Selangor water restructuring exercise with the Federal Government is set to be finalised, said Mentri Besar Azmin Ali.

When met at the state secretariat on Thursday, Azmin said he was rushing to meet Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili.

"I am meeting the minister now to finalise a few provisions in the agreement," said Azmin, adding that it would be signed soon.

The deal had come to a standstill though the master agreement had been signed last year during the tenure of former mentri besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim.

This was due to several disagreements including the ownership of two water treatment plants.

On Wednesday, Selangor government-linked company Kumpulan Perangsang Sdn Bhd, which owned one of the four water concessionaire companies Konsortium Abbas Sdn Bhd, had urged Azmin to seal the deal as soon as possible.

According to its chairman Datuk Raja Idris Raja Kamarudin, the water concessionaire had accumulated a RM1bil debt.

He said the restructuring exercise would allow the parent company Perangsang to streamline and settle the amount.

KUALA LUMPUR: It seems that the Selangor water impasse, which was expected to be resolved yesterday with the signing of a new supple- mentary agreement, is now set to prolong further as The Edge Finan- cial Daily has learnt that both the federal and Selangor governments need more time to clarify the de- tails of the agreement before seal- ing the deal.
It is understood that the draft supplementary water agreement that would bring about Selangor’s water consolidation has gone back for further amendments.
“Apparently, Azmin (Selangor Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali) will ask for some further amend- ments after chairing the Selangor exco (executive council) meeting yesterday (Wednesday). Some terms needs to be renegotiated,” a source with knowledge of the matter told The Edge Financial Daily.
Perhaps the actual draft was not as what was promised or discussed by both parties, the source said. It is not certain at this point what are the issues forcing Selangor to re- assess the draft, the source added. Several Selangor exco members, when contacted, remained tight-
lipped on the details discussed during Wednesday’s state-exco meeting.
Yesterday, The Edge Financial Daily reported that the federal and Selangor governments were set to sign the supplementary agreement, which would see the state main- taining ownership of its water as- sets and Putrajaya proceeding with the long-delayed development of the Langat 2 water treatment plant project.
Quoting a source, the daily said that the federal government had conceded most of the points of contention in the master agreement that were raised by the Selangor government led by Mohamed Az- min, points that had stalled efforts to finalise the state’s water restruc- turing so far.
One key issue was that the own- ership of land that the water assets sit on remains with the state gov- ernment post-restructuring.
Meanwhile, shares in water pipe manufacturers such as Eng- tex Group Bhd, rose four sen or 3.67% to close at RM1.13 yester- day after heavy trading, boosted by news that the protracted water impasse in Selangor could be re- solved with the new supplemen- tary agreement.

Maybe azmin is doing a right thing. Want to ensure agreement isn't lopsided n detrimental to Selangor right. Otherwise another water windfall on another 15years down the road..

At least it show both state and Fed is serious to ink deal, it is normal for draft to have some amendment as Azmin need to seek final state exco approval and feedback. Time is near, and Azmin already take initiative to meet Ongkili to sort out final amendment. Contra player may affected, but, serious investor will wait patiently for ultimate windfall :D)

main clause---with main clause gone the attached provisions still hanging in the footNote.
Azmin is trying get Ongkili to remove the attached provisions--just a signature. That why
Azmin is very positive
